Clem's POV

"Guess I didn't realize how long it's been. How much it's changed." Ruby said nostalgically. She walked over to the door and tried to open it.

"Uh, that ain't budging." Mitch said boredly, with an annoyed expression.

Ruby glared at him and said, "You gonna stand there sulking all day, or you gonna do something useful?" She's obviously pissed at him for his attitude.

I spoke up, "Well, we need that barbed wire. There must be another way in." I wandered around the building looking for anything. I tried to peer through the foggy glass. "Mm... I can't see shit..." I mumble to myself.

"There's too much condensation on the inside." Mitch butted in while crossing his arms. Ruby peeked around the corner, giggling to herself.

"Condensation? That's a big word for you!" She snorts softly when Mitch mumbles a shut up and returns to the front of the building.

I end up following Ruby before I notice a small frown on her face. "Hey, are you okay?"

"I-" She hesitates before continuing, "It's just been so long since I was here. I used to love this place, but it's so overgrown... I'll be fine. Let's just find a way in." I nod at her response, deciding to walk away and see if Mitch found anything.

Mitch turned to look at me with a scowl on his face, "What do you want?"

"Uh nothing... Just wanted to see if you found anything." I roll my eyes at his attitude. Jesus, what did (Y/N) see in this guy.

"You're only here 'cause we're desperate, you know, so don't get comfy."

"Weird, I thought you helping (Y/N) inside was a sign you wanted us to stay." I say, annoyed.

"Uh... well... I didn't want bad karma," Mitch stammered. Oh, I see how it is now, he is just putting up a tough act. My face softens slightly as I realize that he doesn't truly hate (Y/N). "Listen, if we survive these raiders, just know, you and I are gonna have words." Mitch finishes.

"Let's survive first..." I mumble before continuing to examine the building, eventually spotting a ladder that leads to a singular open window. "That window! I bet we can get in there."

"Good spot! Mitch, come here and gimme a boost!" Ruby offered.

"Wait. Make her go first. We send the one we don't mind losing." Mitch said, smirking.

"I'll go first. I don't mind." I said keeping a straight face. Mitch's scowl disappears for a second out of confusion before his cold glare comes back.

"Figured you'd fight it..." He mumbles to himself.

"Thanks, Clem. Now you just holler if one gets you. Otherwise, we'll come as soon as you give the all-clear." Ruby said as Mitch boosted me toward the ladder. I climbed up and dropped through the window. A walker approached me, and I could hear Ruby ask me something, but it was muffled through the glass. I grabbed an old knife left in the room and stabbed the three walkers locked inside the greenhouse.

"Clementine? Clementine?!" Ruby yelled.

"I'm fine." I walked to the door, removed the planks, and opened it for Mitch and Ruby to enter.

"Oh, thank god!" Ruby said while giving me a small hug.

"Not bad." Mitch subtly compliments as he examines the three dead walkers. Ruby walks by all of the plants naming them each individually. She must really like gardening... Mitch cuts off her naming spree by saying, "Let's find that barbed wire. And anything else that might be useful."
