Izuku rushes out of his home with a genuine smile this time. His injuries, both physical and emotional, have finally recovered after 7 years of continuous depression and trauma. Kacch-, oh my bad, he doesn't deserve that name does he? Bakugou almost ruined his childhood best friend's life that day. How can Izuku forget how horribly beaten and humiliated he was? But HE did. He managed to overcome the wounds this time. Time was able to heal his wounds this time, however, if he were to be injured once more, that poor boy would completely break down. How long can time be the only benefactor of this kid?
Izuku: *thinking to himself while running to the nearest station* "I still remember the first day I met Kacchan. We were just 4 years old. He was my first ever friend. I came to know Ochaco and Shoto a long time later. I wish he stopped being so mean to me all the time... I just don't understand why he treats me like this every single time I meet hi-
Person: "HEY WATCH OUT!"
Izuku looks at a car on his left, about to hit him straight. Luckily, he manages to dash out of the way. I guess you could say time was his benefactor once again, and that was just a miracle.
Person: "HEY KID! YOU NEED TO KEEP TRACK OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS! I WOULD BE CONSUMED WITH GUILT HAD YOU NOT MADE IT THIS TIME... DAMN!"
Izuku: "I am really sorry sir. I will make sure something like this doesn't happen, ever again. Thank you for calling me out... else I am afraid that..."
Person: "Hm... It's good that you at least know how to accept your own mistake. It seems you really have a strong will to live, don't you? Most people don't even bother moving out of their path when something is about to hit them, not at least as fast as you though. AH! I just noticed you are headed to school right? You should go quickly before you miss it!"
Izuku: "Thank you, once again sir.", he said before rushing to the train station once more, but not thinking of anything else this time having learnt from what could've happened that time.
Finally, he reaches the station, and gets onto that train which was scheduled to be the earliest. As Izuku takes a seat, various thoughts come flooding into his mind.
Izuku mutters to himself: " 'Will to live?' That guy told me that I have a very strong to live? I don't really believe it. I really felt like giving up these past few years.... had it not been for my mom, I-... I don't know if I would even be here.. going to school and preparing for my journey to UA."
A group of teenagers who were going to school themselves, maybe 1 or 2 years older than Izuku suddenly find something unusual and eye-catchy. They notice Izuku is wearing a pair of red-colored shoes- these shoes are only meant for those unfortunate people who weren't 'privileged' enough to be born with a quirk. They suddenly interrupt him in a rude manner.
Them: "Hey kid, what's up with those shoes huh?"
Izuku suddenly looks at his own shoes, realizing what they were trying to ask.
Izuku: "T-these are just shoes right? W-what is so unusual about them?"
Two of them suddenly get up and approach him, which makes Izuku sweat profusely. He is suddenly reminded of the bullying he received from those 3 people who he called 'friends' in his childhood.
Them: "Questions are asked, answers are given. Is it that hard to understand?"
Izuku: "I-I am sorry if I made you angry. B-but I just wanted to tell that these are just shoes, designed to be worn right? W-why are you asking me if something's wrong with my shoes?"
Them: "Too bad kid. Seems like we have to use our hands to make you understand."
Izuku raises his hands instinctually, to protect himself. However, a woman shouts at those 2 kids and tells them to stop being an asshole to the poor kid in front of them.
