(Joy's POV)

i was having a breakfast on our kitchen and feeling so happy how tasteful the food is but it quickly turned into a whirlwind when my manager sent me a message about an upcoming beer commercial. I glanced at my phone and nearly dropped it when I saw the details—Sungjae was going to be my co-star.

I rushed into the living room, where the Red Velvet members were hanging out. "Guys, you won't believe this," I said, trying to sound casual but failing miserably.

Yeri looked up with a curious smile. "What's up?"

"I just got a message from manager oppa," I began, feeling a bit sheepish. "I'm going to be signing a contract for a beer commercial... with Sungjae."

The room erupted into laughter and teasing.

"Oh, great!" Wendy said with a grin. "So, you'll be working with your ex again. How exciting!"

Seulgi elbowed me playfully. "I guess the universe just loves bringing you two back together, even if it's for work."

I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help but laugh along. "It's not like that. It's just a commercial."

Yeri wiggled her eyebrows. "Just a commercial? Right. And you're both so professional about it."

Wendy added, "I bet Sungjae's already plotting ways to make you laugh or make things awkward."

I shook my head, smiling despite the teasing. "It's going to be fine. We've both moved on."

Later that day, as I prepared for the contract signing, I couldn't deny feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. When I arrived at the location, I saw Sungjae oppa waiting near the signing table. Our eyes met, and there was a brief, awkward silence.

"Hey, Sooyoung," Sungjae oppa said, breaking the ice with a smile. "Long time no see."

"Hi, Oppa," I replied, trying to sound casual. "Looks like we're working together again."

Sungjae oppa chuckled. "Yeah, seems like it. I guess this is what they mean by 'exes working well together.'"

We both laughed, the initial awkwardness melting away. As we went through the signing process, the playful teasing began.

"So, are we going to have to recreate some of our old 'married couple' moments for this commercial?" Sungjae oppa asked with a wink.

I laughed. "Only if you're up for it. I'm sure the director will have his own ideas."

He grinned. "Well, let's hope we can keep things professional. I wouldn't want to give anyone another reason to tease us."

As we finished up, we continued to exchange playful banter. The tension from earlier had dissipated, replaced by the familiar camaraderie we used to share. It was clear that, despite the past, we still had a good connection and could enjoy working together.

When the session wrapped up, Sungjae gave me a friendly nod. "See you on set. Let's make this commercial great."

"Definitely," I replied with a smile. "Looking forward to it."

As we both left, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief and excitement. Despite the teasing and the past history, it felt good to reconnect with Sungjae oppa, even if it was just for a commercial. It was clear that while the past was always present, it didn't have to dictate our future interactions.
