_____________
Raven grabbed her backpack tossing it over her shoulder with a sigh
She really didn't feel like going to school Her head was pounding and her parents constant fighting wasn't helping at all
She opened her bedroom door and headed downstairs noticing how empty the house was they must've left already
They both had cars but for some reason they never drove her to school so the bus was her only option
Stepping outside she slid in her airpods and played "Wait for You" by Future and Drake her favorite song
The music helped her a lot and got her mind off things a little as she walked the familiar path to the bus stop she wasn't in a rush to get there she never really was
Sitting at the bus stop she stared blankly ahead School wasn't something she looked forward to
She didn't have friends People thought she was weird and she didn't really talk unless someone talked to her first which wasn't often
At home it wasn't much better
Her parents barely acknowledged her unless it was about her grades or cleaning the house sometimes she wondered if things would be different if she wasn't here at all
Would anyone even notice?
The bus finally pulled up and she sighed again getting up and heading straight to the back as usual Sitting down she stared out the window feeling the familiar loneliness settle in.

When the bus finally pulled up to school, she was the last to get off
She kept her headphones in pretending the music was enough to drown out the world around her
But she couldn't ignore the stares she knew people were whispering about her like they always did
It didn't bother her as much anymore but it still stung just a little
She headed straight for her locker hoping to get through the day without any issues
The quicker she could make it through her classes, the quicker she could go back home to her room at least where she could pretend everything was fine.
Raven opened her locker and grabbed her books As she shut it she saw him Darius He was talking with his friends laughing like he didn't have a care in the world Raven couldn't help but stare for a moment before shaking herself out of it He didn't know she existed and she wasn't about to embarrass herself by thinking otherwise
Turning away, she headed to class, keeping her head down, as usual. Just another day. She told herself she could handle it
She always did.
