After conversing a little with his dad about why I was gone for years and had came back for 3 days, I decided to place my hands ahead to shake and leave. The handshake was warm and firm. As Arkai pulled away, Elenika's dad surprised him with a friendly pat on the head. It was a casual gesture, yet it spoke about the man's easygoing nature. Arkai couldn't help but smile back.

In the end looking back at the window and waving at the girl, and she did wave back. "So, she remembers me?" He thought.
Arkai stole a last glance back at the house. Elenika was at the window, and their eyes met. Taking a deep breath, with a sheepish grin, he reached up and gently tugged on his own earlobes, a playful way of saying sorry from the distance without words. Elenika, watching him from the window, couldn't help but smile. The gesture was unexpected, a bit silly, but undeniably sweet. She raised her hand in a small wave, her smile widening. Arkai waved back. "So she still remembers me eh?" he thought.
