"All right, all right, I'll arrive shortly," I assured Mom as she told me to return home.
"Indeed, you ought to," my mother asserted in a tone that hinted at potential trouble.
"Alright, goodbye!" I concluded the conversation abruptly, not receiving any final words from the other party.
"Mr. Hamza, considering the sudden emergency that has arisen at my home, I believe it would be prudent to continue the meeting tomorrow," I informed the individual seated opposite me. "At the moment, my presence is urgently required there, thus necessitating my immediate departure."
"Mm-hmm, of course," he said with a smile that had an eerie quality, which remained plastered on his face ever since his arrival.
"Wipe that smirk off your face," I warned him in a frigid tone, "because if I lay eyes on it again, I will make sure the features it comes from become so disfigured that you won't be able to stand looking at yourself in the mirror, much less smile." As soon as he heard me, his smug expression disappeared.
Thus, I picked up my bag from the table and proceeded to leave.
Upon arriving at the parking lot, I discovered, to my dismay, that my car had been scratched by a different vehicle. Without delay, I sprinted towards it and noticed a sticky note affixed to the damaged area.
"If financial resources are required for this endeavour, you may wish to consider obtaining them from the xxx charitable organisation."
As I perused the note in my hand, a sudden noise originated from the direction behind me.
"Was that your car?" inquired the unidentified individual in my direction.
With an icy inflexion, I questioned him instead of replying, "It was you that left those marks on my car?"
"Indeed, it was an accident on my part," He affirmed.
"No, I don't believe that will happen," I said. "But you can count on me to seek vengeance."
Subsequently, I proceeded to access the trunk of my vehicle, retrieved the baseball bat concealed within, and approached the damaged window at the forefront of the automobile. Upon impact, a loud exclamation of "NO WAY!" resonated in the vicinity. As I cast my gaze around, I observed that the shattered remnants of the glass had scattered and were now resting on the ground.
Consequently, an individual emerged and firmly grasped my neck.
"What on earth did you do to my vehicle?" He yelled angrily at me. In response, I delivered a swift kick to his shin. He retreated with a grimace of pain, giving me a brief opportunity. Before he could react further, I threw a punch that landed squarely on his jawline.
