Speaking to the victim's sister -

Half an hour into the drive -

Teresa thought for a minute before telling Patrick. She needed to tell him even if it hurts him. She needs to tell him because Patrick is her best friend and partner at work and she never hides anything from him.

There is something I do need to tell you, said Teresa. What's going on Lisbon? Asked Patrick. Not while we are on a case. Is it ok if I tell you tonight after the case is done? Asked Teresa. Take all the time you need, said Patrick as he laid his hand out. Teresa grabbed his hand and Patrick stroked her hand with his thumb.

Teresa smiled at the gesture. You always know how to calm me down, said Teresa. I'm glad I still know after 2 years, said Patrick. Me too, said Teresa as they smiled at each other.

After a few minutes -

Patrick then parked the car on the side and got out to help Teresa out of the car. After you, said Patrick as he opened the door. Such a gentleman, said Teresa as she smiled at him. I try my best Agent Lisbon, said Patrick as he closed the door. They both walked to the door of the Victim's sister's house.

Teresa sighed as she knocked on the door. She hated doing this but she thought after many years of the field she thought she would be able to get used to it but she never did. A woman opened the door after a few seconds.

Hi, can I help you? Asked Emily. Hi, are you Emily Williams? Asked Patrick. Yes but can I ask what this is about? Uh officer, said Emily. It's Agent Lisbon, said Teresa. I'm a consultant with the FBI, said Patrick. May we come in? Asked Teresa. Oh yes of course. Is this about my sister? Asked Emily.

You might want to sit down for this Emily, said Patrick. Emily looked at them and sat down with a worry in her mind. Can you please tell me what's going on? Asked Emily. Ms Williams I am deeply sorry to say but your sister's body was found today in the early hours in the morning, said Teresa.

Tori is dead?! Asked Emily as she was in shock. We don't know when but she was found this morning, said Patrick. Was anyone looking for her? Asked Emily. The Bureau was looking for her for months but when the case came to a dead end they gave up and then they gave us the case but it was too late, said Teresa as she tried not to let this affect her.

They gave up on my sister? Asked Emily as there were tears down her face. A year after she was missing, said Patrick as he looked at Teresa. He knew this was tearing her apart. Emily, do you remember anything from the day before she went missing? Asked Teresa. Yea. We were at the graveyard visiting our parents. They died when we were teenagers in a car crash. Our Aunt Lillian came to stay with us after what had happened, said Emily.

I'm sorry for your loss, said Patrick. It's difficult losing parents at a young age, said Teresa. You lost your parents too? Asked Emily. My mum died in a car crash when I was 15. My dad died a few months after her, said Teresa. Emily wasn't stupid as she thought the dad killed himself.

I'm sorry, said Emily. Thank you, said Teresa as she gave a sad smile. Emily, do you remember anything besides visiting your parents? Asked Patrick. Yea sorry. We then went to see our friends that day. I left early as I needed to be at my evening shift at work, said Emily.

Did Victoria ever come home that night or did someone see her after you left? Asked Teresa. Tori stayed for another 15 minutes after I had left, said Emily. How do you know she left 15 minutes after you? Asked Patrick. She texted me 15 minutes after I had left, said Emily.

We might need to see that text message but was Victoria dating anyone before she went missing? Asked Teresa. Of course. I'll show you the messages but yes she was dating this guy Daniel. They were broken up for a while but they had gotten back together recently before she went missing, said Emily.
