Unexpected meeting pt 5

The 8 was in his room trying to figure out his feelings. Y/n just kept popping on his mind no matter what he is doing. Just now he got scolded by Hoshi Hyung as he lost focus halfway practicing the new performance team choreo. 

Why was he feeling like this? He didn't understand. He had been friends with her for a few years but he never felt like that before. It was as if he felt a bit nervous every time he went to see her. And sometimes he feels a sudden urge to hug y/n and protect her. 

'Jun-hyung, can you come over if you aren't busy? I got something to ask you.' Minghao calls Jun to help him out with his feelings as he was the closest with Jun.

'Minghao, what can't you ask on phone?'

'Hyung just come I swear it's important, come one hyung' Minghao pouted slightly 

'Fine I am coming'

(After Jun reached)

'So hyung I have never told you this but one day while I was jogging I saw a girl crying and I helped her and we became good friends and I would see her everyday. That day I went out to eat with you I forgot to go and she looked very lost the next day. After that, I took her to a cafe to treat her and when we were going out she almost fell so I caught her. Ever since then she just keep coming to my mind. Why is that so?' Minghao speaks rapidly.

'Woah slow down bro. But you falling in love? That never happened.' Jun was surprised as after so many years he has never heard Minghao falling in love with someone.

'Huh Hyung what do you mean "falling in love"'

'It means you started liking her since that day' Jun announced.

'How?'

'Hao, do you feel butterflies in your stomach while with her?'

'Uhh yes why?'

'That's a sign that you like her'

'That's impossible, I like her as a friend.'

'Well apparently not from what you said'

'Then how do I deal with this? Hoshi hyung got mad because I lost focus while practicing. This cannot continue on'

'Well, chase her'

'But what if she doesn't like me back?'

'Minghao, today when you go to see her, bring me also. I want to see how you two interact.'

'Sure I guess'

(Later in the evening)

'Hey y/n I brought Jun here today, he said he wanted to meet you after I told him about you.'

'Oh' y/n replied.

Jun saw that y/n doesn't really seem to like how he was there but he decided to continue looking.

'So anyways y/n ...' Minghao said but y/n did not respond

'Y/n why are you always zoning out when we talk?' Minghao pouted a little.

Y/n blushed.

Jun saw it and he was mentally clapping for his friend.

(After they got back the the 8's house)

'So Hyung did you find out about anything'

'Yes in fact a very important thing. She likes you too'

'Seriously?'

'Yes I saw her blush when she saw you pout and you know how cute you are when you pout'

'Really Hyung? What should I do now?'

'Confess and ask her to be your girlfriend'

(Minghao next day)

The 8's pov

Jun Hyung told me to confess so I prepared a small paragraph and was mentally rehearsing it. I was nervous.

What if Jun Hyung saw wrongly and that would ruin our friendship? I guess I have to get it over with. 

(Later that evening)

Y/n was sitting on the bench as usual. I walk to her and take her to where I first met her.

'Y/n please listen to me this is the place we first met, where our fate started. I want to tell you that I love you and although it was not love at first sight, I promise I will love and cherish you to the moon and back even when we get old. Will you be my girlfriend?'

There was tears on y/n's face. Minghao didn't want to intrude her personal space but he felt like it was the right thing to do so he hugged her. To his delight, he found that her head fits on his shoulder perfectly.

'Y-yes Minghao'

'Really? Thanks. I am so happy.' Minghao lifted y/n up and spun her in circles.

(On their 1st monthsary)

'Minghao, did you know that I love you way longer than when you started loving me?'

'Really? I didn't know anything, I barely knew that I love you until Jun Hyung spelled it out to me'

'Guess he is our matchmaker, remind him to thank him the next time I see him' y/n said and suddenly saw Minghao looking at her intensely.

'Umm Minghao why are you staring?'

'To admire your beauty of course, just kidding but secretly loving me for so long, that must have hurt you at some point. Now I feel bad for not realizing I love you earlier.'

'No it's fine Minghao all that was worth it, the point is we are together now and it all happened due to that Unexpected meeting'
