Unexpected meeting pt 2

*The 8 and y/n daily meetings*

"Hi, y/n," the 8 said, taking a seat next to her on the same faithful bench where they first met.

"Oh, you're here.," with a small hint of surprise.

"Why, is it surprising?"

"Well you are a famous idol and I am just a normal person so it's not normal for you to always talk to me."

"So you don't want me to be here?"the 8 teased her and pouts.

"Of-of course not, you are my best friend" y/n blushes a bit.

"Anyways how was school?"

"I am getting a bit better in socializing, I think?"

"Good job"

"YK I was teased by my team members today but it's fine, we are like a family."

Y/n pats the 8's head cutely "Watching you all interact with each other so so cute."

The 8 was a bit shocked from y/n patting his head but did not flinch from it. He met her when she was younger but now she has grown. He didn't understand why such a nice person with a beautiful soul always gets excluded in her class. 

The 8 doesn't know but after their everyday interactions, y/n is slowly falling deeper and deeper for him. Starting from just being an idol to her, he has turned to become the person she truly loves, not just a crush.

"Ming Hao, I always wondered but can K-pop idols like you date people?"

"Well I heard that some companies emphasized in their contracts where they can't date but pledis didn't, it's just that none of our members have really dated yet."

"Hmm, good to know" y/n thought out loud.

"Why, would you want to date me? the 8 again teased her.

Y/n face turned tomato red as her heart jolted from the question but knowing the 8 it was just a joke.

If only she could actually date him.

But she was already thankful she could be friends with him.

She felt a bit sad about her unreciprocated love and also no one to share her pain with. 

Her mind:

Maybe, just maybe he can love me if I confessed.

NO!! You might ruin your friendship with him. You cannot bear to lose him. 

"Y/n, y/n," Seeing she didn't reply he worried that she was angry about the joke he made so he shouted "Earth to y/n!!"

"Huh? Oh, sorry I zoned out"

"Are you angry at me because of the joke I made?"

"Huh what- no"

"Good to know"
