Chapter four.

One week later.

John was glad to be home with
his wife.

He'd have a follow-up appointment, later in the week, to determine how his lungs was functioning and if there was any fluid or infection.

Marlena was feeling much better and her and the twins are doing very well.

John and marlena are snuggled
on the couch.

John hand is laid on marlena's stomach and john put his hand
on top of hers

I was scared, that you would die. And I'm scared every day, that something's going to happen....

To the babies.

John finished the sentence for her.

"Me too, that's why we're keeping
a close eye on things, marlena
I'm not going to let anything
happen to either three of you.

John told his wife.

I know, you want to take care of me but john, you have to take it easy too, you still recovery.

Marlena told her friend.

We both can take care of each other.

John told his wife.

You really should get some sleep.

Marlena told her husband.

"I don't think I can sleep right now.

John told his wife.

Marlena know john was worried about her.

I'm fine, john, you need to get
some rest.

Marlena told her husband.

Doc, you need to rest too.

John told his wife.

I know and i will later i promise.

Marlena told her husband.

John wanted to re-iterate the fact that he really didn't think rest was going to come easily, but he closed his eyes and did his best to sleep.

Marlena was glad john didn't seem to be stubborn about it.

It was hard for a lot of patients
to get rest after surgery.

Something about it just sort of messed with your body's ability to shut off for a while.

If john wanted to heal and get back to normal, he needed sleep. His body needed that.

Let me know, if you need anything.

Marlena said as she kissed John's forehead.

Okay, i will

John said before marlena headed to the kitchen.
..................................................................

the next morning.

John Black what are you think you doing?.

Marlena asked as she walked in the kitchen.

I'm making breakfast for my wife.

John told Marlena.

You should be resting.

Marlena told her husband.

I'm fine, doc.

John told his wife.

You are the most stubborn I've ever met.
