The intensity of the kiss lingered between them, but Boruto couldn’t let the silence stretch any longer. He took a deep breath, gathering his courage, and spoke from his heart.

“Sarada,” Boruto began, his voice filled with a mix of vulnerability and sincerity. “I don’t really know what love is... But when I look at you, I can’t help but feel these weird, strong feelings. I just know that I don’t want to lose you. I can’t stand the thought of seeing you with someone else.”

Sarada’s breath caught in her throat as his words sank in. She looked up at him, her heart racing, and for a moment, all the doubts and confusion melted away. She could see the honesty in his eyes, the raw emotion he was struggling to express. It was then that she realized she felt the same way—had felt that way for a long time.

“Boruto...” she said softly, taking a step closer to him. “So... what does this mean for us? What are we?”

Boruto hesitated for a moment, his heart pounding. He realized that this was the moment to be completely honest, to lay it all on the line. Gathering every bit of courage he had, he took her hands in his, holding them gently but firmly.

“Sarada,” he began, his voice steady despite the emotions swirling inside him. “Will you be my girlfriend? I know I’ve never done this before, and I might mess things up... but I want to try. I want to be with you.”

Sarada’s eyes widened in surprise, her heart skipping a beat at his words. She could see the sincerity in his eyes, the genuine hope and a little bit of nervousness. It wasn’t just a casual question—it was a heartfelt proposal from the boy she had grown to care for more than she ever imagined.

A smile slowly spread across Sarada’s face, warm and genuine. “Yes, Boruto,” she replied, her voice filled with emotion. “I’ll be your girlfriend.”

Boruto’s face lit up with pure joy, a wide grin spreading across his features. The weight of uncertainty that had been pressing down on him lifted in an instant. Without thinking, he pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her close as if afraid she might disappear.

Sarada hugged him back, feeling a sense of rightness she had never felt before. In that moment, all the worries and doubts seemed to fade away, leaving only the warmth of their newfound connection.

As they stood together, the night quiet around them, Sarada suddenly looked a bit anxious. She took a deep breath before speaking.

“Boruto,” Sarada began softly, meeting his eyes, “let’s not tell anyone about this for now.”

Boruto frowned slightly, curiosity piqued. “Why not? Are you worried about what people might say?”

Sarada hesitated for a moment before replying, “It’s not really that... it’s my dad. If he finds out, he’s going to be really angry or worse, he might not even approve. You know how strict he can be. I just... I don’t want to deal with that right now.”

Boruto’s expression softened as he understood her concern. “Yeah, I get it. Your dad’s not exactly the easiest guy to talk to about stuff like this. Okay, let’s keep it between us for now.”

Sarada smiled, relieved that he understood. “Thanks, Boruto. I just want us to figure this out without any extra stress.”

Boruto nodded, squeezing her hand gently. “No problem. We’ll take our time.”

They shared a quiet moment together, their hearts full of the new possibilities that lay ahead. The kiss had changed everything, but instead of feeling overwhelmed, they both felt a sense of peace and excitement.

The Next Morning

The sun had just begun to rise over the horizon, casting a warm golden hue across the village. Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, and Kagura were gathered near the harbor, their mission finally complete. The ship that would take them back to Konoha was docked and ready to depart.
