"Hm, it's very not surprising to see all of you guys tiredly laying down in the middle of the school's courtyard," Noé said, sighing at their pathetic sight. He saw them fighting Jack just now.

"Says you who didn't have to fight him!" Grim grumbled.

"Hey, I just got here," Noé shrugged.

"The conflict that's been raging in my heart. Since I'm practically betraying my own dorm. But I can't bear it anymore!!" Jack said with his ears perked up.

"The real essence of a fight is winning by pure effort no matter how tough it gets! I tried to test how far I could go in our fight, too. Choosing to win by lowly methods makes me want to puke! That defeats the purpose of a competition! I wanted to reach the top by winning using my own power!" He continued ambitiously.

"Ah, this guy's the totally annoying type," Ace said, tired of him already.

"Well, I have an errand to do, so you guys good luck with your research," Noé said before getting caught up with the situation. He doesn't need anymore stress added up to his own brain. 

"Lilia-senpai, did you know that Savanaclaw is creating a problem for our dorm? No, more like every dorm. They've been going around and creating chaos among other dorms. I wonder if they did something to ours too," Noé asked curiously.

"Hm? Well, not that I know of. But I wonder if they dare to do that in broad daylight, fufufu~"

"I feel like. . . it's going to be very chaotic when the tournament day comes," Noé sighed.

"'Not everything will be solved even if we reach the top.' , huh," Noé said to no one inside his dorm room. He sighed, tired before everything had yet to start. "My mind is going to go crazy if this keeps happening,"

Noé went out to get some fresh air. The moon up to the sky is undeniably beautiful before the chaos tomorrow. Noé sighed again.

"Is there something bothering you, Noé?"

That alluring deep voice brought him back to reality. "Ah, Malleus-san! Long time no see,"

"Indeed. You were sighing earlier, is something the matter?"

"Ah, it's nothing. My senses are getting all giddy up that it's uncomfortable. It seems that nowadays there's more of negative energy accumulating. Not that I understand why. Anyways, have you met Yuu yet?"

"Hm? You mean the magicless Child of Man? I've heard quite a few words of him, but I haven't met him personally"

"He's interesting. But I can feel something else inside him but I can't really pinpoint it,"

"Hmph, how rare of you to be interested especially to a magicless human," Malleus chuckled deeply.

"What, are you jealous?"

"Well, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of jealousy now, right?"

Noé couldn't get enough sleep for today's tournament. He saw the usual group and decided to stop by them.

"Hi guys, how are you guys holding on?"

"Hi Noé-senpai, we're good!" Yuu replied to him. "I wasn't chosen for the team in the end. . ." Ace said in a low sad voice.

"Same here..." Deuce continued.

"There's still next year," Yuu said to them with a sigh.

Noé chuckled. They're as energetic as ever. "Oh yeah, weren't you supposed to be on standby for today's tournament?" Yuu asked.

"Well, I sneaked out for a little bit to get a bit of snacks here, after all there's a lot to choose from," Noé said sheepishly.

"We have an important task to do today. Let's be alert," Deuce said.

"You're right. Let's do our best on that, I guess," Ace continued.

"I don't know what you guys are planning but good luck," Noé said. He knows what's going to happen anyways.

"What's a takoyaki? I wanna try some!" Grim said with a drool on his mouth.

"Later! Come on, let's go! We're gonna go first, see you later Noé-senpai! " Ace said before dragging them away.

"It's been so long since I ate takoyaki, maybe I'll get one," Noé mumbled after waving them goodbye.

"Ahem... To everyone who has been waiting for the Tournament to begin. . . You've waited long enough and now, it's time for the march of the players!" The announcer exclaimed with the crowd screams and cheers.

"First up are last year's champions! Will they take the victory again this year?! Our Reigning Champions, DIASOMNIA~~~~~~!!!!"

Noé can hear the announcer just well, so he's just near the food stall and enjoying his takoyaki, until he hears the panicked screams from the spectators. When he checks it out, he can see Silver and Sebek trying to get out of the panicked crowd. "Wait, that's not them. . .?"
