yippie! First chapter! Hurray!
Finally. It came. The Hogwarts Letter came. Unfortunately instead of Hesperia Getting the letter her mother did, who the second saw the owl flying towards their home started exitedly screaming and jumping around, almost smashing one of the new planting pots she transfigured from one of the old small toy teacup she borrowed from Hesperias Tea-time set.
"Ahaha Oh my Goodness! My little girl is Finnaly going to School im so Happy for you Darling! Youre gonna meet so many people! Youre gonna be able to make friends! Oh Honey im so proud of you!" The woman yelled while hugging her daughter to her chest and jumping with her as a show of excitement.
Hesperia didnt know how to respond to that, She isnt really fond of closeness or any kind of physical contact, even if it was her mom who sometimes needed a hug and came to ask for it, Then it was understandable.
The young girl cleared her throat and quickly slithered her way out of her moms embrace and quickly took the letter that was now laying on the kitchen counter top.
After looking at the pretty slightly yellowish paper she finally decided to delicately open up the sealed note that came from Professor McGonagall. It was in fact an invitation to the school and a list of things she has to bring herself. she was fine when it came to potion making tools and ingredients but they still had to buy the uniform and cloak same with the books to every subject. While she was scanning the paper for any more informations her mom watched over her daughters shoulder on what she had to buy and smiled softly at the memory of her younger self going to buy all those things.
"So what do you think of going today? its still early honey, im kind of surprised it arrived earlier than the middle of the day." Her mom asked carefully to not discourage her child from going out and seeing so many people in one place after a longer while of not stepping outside of the forest area. She knew her child was rrather closed off and somewhat of an old soul, but she still would love for her child to at least make one friend, a pureblood hopefully. Its not like she hated half-bloods... or other kinds of blood, she just never had any good experiences with someone from lower status. Even though she lives a simple life, It doesnt mean she doesnt have standards towards her daughter.
"Alright." She heard a quiet voice coming out of her childs mouth as she slowly folded the list and put it in her dark blue jorts pocket that her mother had made for her by changing the size of her old jeans and cutting them to make sure her child wouldnt overheat herself while standing in front of a boiling pot all day.
"Okay honey let me go fix myself up and ill be right with you at the chimney okay?" Her mom looked at herself in the reflection of one of her metal pots hanging from the wall and noticing some dirt smudges on her face and neck, what can she say a good day in a garden ends with a messy happy face. She gave her Daughter a pat on her shoulder and quickly went to her room which was left from the small hall connecting the kitchen and the living room where the chimney was.
Hesperia signed at the chimney not even remembering the last time she had gone out, she also noticed the slight smell coming off of her cloths, the same smell as the preparation liquid of the wiggenweld potion. a healing potion of a bright green color, it tastes like seaweed but nothing too gross. She signed and also went to her room to change out of her, what her mom calls "House clothes" into more suitable wizard attire. She chose a nice purple blouse with long wide sleeves that were just right just not the shirt which was too long but that was covered up with a long ankle length slightly ruffled dark blue skirt with small silver embroidered stars her mom did for her. and she finished the look with nice and classic black leather booties with a small also star-shaped lock-on on each side.
It wasnt too hot but it was still nice weather and feeling the wind on her knees made her shiver a bit which is why she wore a long skirt. Just as she finished up tying her hair up with a pretty bright purple ribbon her mom knocked on the door asking if shes ready to leave. That was her call to grab her over the shoulder brown bag with a couple of dark stains from spilled potion ingredients, like squid ink or wolfberry juice.
"You ready Hespie?" She raised corners of her mouth hearing her mom shorten her name as she walked out of the room. Her mom was wearing her long dress like blouse with orange and gold linings along her sleeves and down the dress, she also had some gold tangled up necklaces and two clip on earrings. She also put her hair up in a huge glass stained Clip forcing her long hair to spill out of it creating a waterfall effect. She looked very elegant yet bright and lively.
