Ochaco wasn't sure what she expected when she came in to class.
After what happened at the USJ, everyone seemed on edge.
They all got to their seats quickly, barely a word was said except some whispers.
There was some speculation as to who would teach the class for now while Aizawa-sensei was in the hospital. However, that quickly died down when said teacher arrived covered in bandages. He assured the class that he was fine to teach.
It was another reminder of how she wasn't able to help.
Her deflated attitude didn't last long, however, as the news of sports festival was announced. It got her excited.
"Everyone, I'm going to do my best!" she announced everywhere she could. She was pumped.
Finally, something she could test herself on.
It was after the human chariot game when she felt it.
A spiritual pressure that she hadn't felt in a long time but one that she could never forget.
She tried her best to scan the crowd to pick up on where it was coming from.
The crowd was too large and too far away for her to be accurate enough.
"Something wrong, Uraraka-Chan?" Deku seemed to notice her unease.
"Oh! It's nothing!" Ochaco accidentally shouted, causing him to flinch.
That answer seemed to do the trick.
The next game wasn't really a game at all.
It was a head-to-head tournament for the winners of the last game to crown an overall winner for the festival.
Ochaco was delighted to have made it this far. It would have been crazy if her school from her previous life had done a sports festival like this.
As she danced around in a cheerleader outfit to calm her nerves, she thought about how her friends from back then would react to this world.
They probably would have reacted similarly to how she did originally, weirded out by everything but, they would get the hang of it.
Wonder what their quirks would be?
Probably something strong, she thought with a smile. They were the strongest people she knew.
She was strong too and everything that happened made her stronger.
She felt lighter than air, until she saw who she was fighting in the first round,
Ochaco sniffled as she dried her eyes.
She lost.
Lost at the hands of Bakugo. The explosive blonde was just too much to handle.
She collapsed and had to be rushed to RecoveryGirl's office.
When Deku and Iida visited her in the break room, she put on a strong facade, pretending that she was alright.
However, when her parents called, she broke down sobbing.
She was still upset after the call but, was recovering slowly.
Shiro took the seat across from her and simply watched, not that Ochaco cared. She was used to the hollow being around.
"Not much of an acknowledgment, eh Queen?"
"Just a lot on my mind" Ochaco replied, not quite looking at her doppelgänger's face.
