Felix and Hyunjin stood before the massive purple crystal, its energy pulsating with an otherworldly power. Without a word, they knew what they had to do. They reached out, their hands touching the crystal's surface.
The world around them dissolved into a swirl of colors, and they felt themselves being pulled through space and time. When their vision cleared, they found themselves standing in the middle of a deserted street, surrounded by crumbling buildings and overgrown vegetation.
A faded sign creaked in the wind, reading "Ravenwood High School". Felix's eyes narrowed, his gaze scanning the abandoned campus. "Looks like our next mission is here," he said, his voice low and serious.
Hyunjin's eyes widened as he took in the sight. "An abandoned school? What could be here?"
Felix's smile was grim. "Only one way to find out."
Together, they approached the school's entrance, the doors creaking ominously as they pushed them open. The hallways were dark, the air thick with dust and the scent of decay. But Felix and Hyunjin pressed on, their senses on high alert, ready to face whatever lay within.
Felix kicked the wood, creating a diversion, and then ran towards Hyunjin, grabbing him and pulling him into a nearby locker. They hid together, holding their breath as the demon dog searched for them.
The demon dog ran frantically around the room, its eyes scanning every nook and cranny, but it failed to find them. Eventually, it returned to the classroom, its tail wagging in frustration.
"If the dog doesn't smell our scent, we'll be fine," Felix whispered to Hyunjin, his voice barely audible.
Hyunjin's eyes widened in shock, his face pale with fear. "What do you mean, it would eat us?" he asked, his voice trembling.
Felix's expression turned serious, his eyes locked onto Hyunjin's. "Demons like that dog are not to be underestimated. They are fierce, ruthless, and will stop at nothing to get what they want."
Hyunjin's eyes were wide with fear and amazement, his mind struggling to comprehend the danger they had just faced. "But why would someone summon a demon like that?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Felix's eyes narrowed, his jaw clenched in determination. "I don't know, but I'm going to find out. Let's get out of here and find a safe place to talk."
Together, they crept out of the locker and made their way out of the classroom, their hearts pounding with fear and anticipation. They finally reached a secluded alleyway, far from the chaos of the school, where they could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Hyunjin's eyes locked onto Felix's, his voice filled with urgency. "Felix, can you defeat that dog?"
Felix's expression turned confident, his eyes gleaming with determination. "Yes, I can defeat it," he said, his voice firm.
But then his expression turned cautious, his eyes narrowing slightly. "However, it would be a close fight, since I'm still experimenting with my powers. I'm not yet sure of their full extent."
Hyunjin's eyes widened in alarm, his mind racing with the implications. "You mean, you're not sure if you can control your powers?"
Felix's jaw clenched in determination. "I'll figure it out, Hyunjin. I have to. We can't let that dog roam free, not when it's so dangerous."
Hyunjin's eyes locked onto Felix's, his voice filled with trust. "I believe in you, Felix. You can do it"
Felix's face set in a determined expression, his eyes gleaming with resolve. "I won't let you down, Hyunjin. Let's go back to the school and gather more information about the dog and its summoner. We need to know what we're up against."
