When Wen Ning heard this, she thought he was going to refuse to sleep in the same bed with her, and she immediately felt a little regretful.

She shouldn't have said so much. Xiao Yunci should have known his limits. Now that she had said too much, it would be difficult for him to refuse if he was unwilling to do so.

Wen Ning clenched her fingers and raised her eyes, only to see him turning his back to her.

She couldn't tell what she felt. She just thought he was going to lie down, but she saw him gathering the quilt and taking it back.

Wen Ning's eyelashes trembled, and then she watched him turn around and walk towards the bed. Her originally calm heart suddenly tensed up.

"That's offensive." Xiao Yunci walked closer to the bed and looked down at her. He was tall, and he seemed even more oppressive when he got closer. Without waiting for her response, Xiao Yunci moved his hand and pulled out the hairpin on her head.

The black hair cascaded down like water, sprinkling on his chest and behind him. His originally fierce face was now wrapped in hair to look gentle and handsome. The black hair made his face look like jade, his eyes dark, and his beauty breathtakingly delicate.

Wen Ning held her breath and watched him intently, only to see him slowly sit down beside the bed, then lift up the quilt and take out a white silk handkerchief from inside.

Then he pierced his fingertips with a hairpin, squeezed out the blood, and twisted it on the silk handkerchief.

Wen Ning forgot to breathe and was stunned by the scene before her.

Xiao Yunci gave her a meaningful look.

"Your Highness, your hand..." Wen Ning looked at his fingertips that were still bleeding... Fingers are connected to the heart, how much pain should he be in? But he didn't change his expression, as if the hairpin had pierced someone else's hand.

Moreover, his hairpin was too sharp, as if it were a weapon he carried with him.

"No problem." Xiao Yunci gently wiped his fingers with the handkerchief he carried with him. "It's just a minor wound. It will heal quickly."

Wen Ning stared at him blankly, then suddenly came to her senses, her face flushed, and she quickly moved her body inside to make room for him.

The bed is not small, but not too big either. It is just the right size for two people to lie down on.

Wen Ning couldn't give up much space and could only lean in as far as possible.

If she let him go any further, he would be pressed against the wall.

Seeing that his movements were natural and not beyond the rules, Wen Ning followed him and slowly lay down, then covered herself with the quilt properly.

Fortunately, two quilts were prepared here, and Wen Ning couldn't help but let her thoughts run wild.

After she lay down, she quickly closed her eyes, not daring to look at him again.

In the darkness, she heard the friction between clothes and quilts, and then a faint sandalwood fragrance mixed with a faint smell of alcohol lingered at her nose.

The strange yet familiar smell surrounded her in what was supposed to be an extremely private space, making her nervous and almost unable to breathe.

She closed her eyes tightly, not daring to open them. There was no other sound beside her, only his even breathing.

Very good, just sleep like this. When she wakes up, it will be tomorrow and she can do other things... Wen Ning thought with her eyes closed.

But her heart was beating wildly, and the sound was particularly loud in the silent night. She felt a little embarrassed, fearing that Xiao Yunci beside her could hear her nervous heartbeat.
