Pulling a newly baked cake from the oven, Keylith moves his free hand through the air. The pan following his movements with scarlet energy surrounding it as he moves it to the counter. He flicks his wrist at the oven as it closes on itself. He rubs his hands together as he hums a tone. The fondue twirling as the scarlet wisps guide its moves. Swirling into a flat sheet that covers the cake. Hearing the bell of his bakery's entrance Keylith drops everything. His hands. His red wisps. And the items on the counter. He moves to the front desk as Klaus enters. Keylith rolls his eyes and gives him a look. The rehab band very much visible on his wrist.

"What are you doing here?" He places his hands on his hips. Looking over Klaus.

"Heard the news yet?" Klaus happily inquires. A grin spread across his face. Keylith lets out a breath and points at the TV immediately recognizing the face on it. Prompting him to turn the volume up.

"We're going live now to a breaking story. Father of the Umbrella Academy, Sir Reginald Hargreeves has passed away. More details will be released soon..."

Keylith straightens up as a small grin stretches across his face. This was unexpected but... so refreshing. The devil himself was gone. Out of Keylith's life. No longer a terror to haunt his dreams.
.........................

Keylith approaches the door of his house. He stared up at them for a moment. His shoulders sag a bit. Klaus had left inside a while back. He opens the door, stepping inside slowly. He walked through the foyer. Glancing into the living room for anyone. He spots Grace, his mother, sitting before the fireplace.

"Mom?" He questions taking small steps into the room. Grace remains unresponsive, Keylith furrows his eyebrows "Mom?"

"Keylith?" Grace turned to watch her son descend the staircase. "You made it"

"Yeah. Closed up the bakery for it." Keylith answers not noticing Allison creeping up behind him.

"It's really good to see you." She greets from behind. Prompting a little jump from him. He turns and smiles. Releasing a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Yeah, you too" he hugs her. After a while the siblings pull back from each other. He was glad to see her. It's been a considerable while since he last saw her. That doesn't include on TV. "So is everyone here?" Keylith inquires, glancing up the stairs to try to catch a glimpse of someone.

"Oh, yeah. Whole gang." Diego replies walking down the stairs and pass the two.

"Nice to see you, too, Barnacle Boy." Keylith states, crossing his arms over his chest and tilting his head at Diego. The two have always had a love-hate relationship. Since they were kids.

"See your humor hasn't changed, neither has your height, Shorty." Diego claims looking Keylith up and down.

"You really want to start with me, Diego?" Keylith asked with a bit of his British accent slipping out. "Cause I'm not in the mood."

"Yeah, none of us are." Diego states. "Maybe keep your sarcastic remarks on the low." He instructs.

"So, is Klaus back yet?" Keylith questions with a small smile. Diego didn't answer as he kept climbing the stairs. "Right, I'll... I'm going to take my things up to my room." Allison nodded at her brother, Keylith ascended the stairs to his room. He walked into his room, pausing at how destitute and empty it looked. Keylith sets his bag down on the mattress and moves over to the wall. The old, peeling dark paint being met with his warm hands. He lets out a breath and closes his eyes. He pushes the feeling he knew all to well within himself against the paint.

"Wow." Vanya's voice opens his eyes. "No matter how much I've seen it, it's more amazing everytime." Keylith looks at the replenish dark blue walls of his room and smiles.

"Hey, Vanya." He hugs her and sighs.

"Hey, Keke" She takes a moment before she pulls back, her arms still holding onto his. "You haven't aged a day."

"Well, my body is always in a transformative state, so, who knows." He teases and playfully pulls her arms back and forth. Vanya chuckles and fondly shakes her head.

"They're about to start a meeting. Allison sent me to call you down."

"Let's go."
