That night, as the skies above Moreit crackled with thunder and lightning, Ivor’s heart was a storm of its own. He couldn’t shake the feeling of elation from earlier, the warmth that had spread through him when he saw Rachis smile—when he’d managed to get her attention, even if just for a fleeting moment. The sound of the rain pounding against his window only mirrored the rush of emotions that filled him. The evening had been strange, almost surreal, and now he felt like something inside him had been unlocked.
Unable to sleep, Ivor reached for a notebook he kept by his bed, one that had been filled with half-formed thoughts and ideas over the years. But tonight, his mind was focused on one thing— her.
He flipped open the notebook, the pages illuminated by the occasional flash of lightning. With a deep breath, he picked up a pen and began to write. The words poured out of him as if they had been waiting for this moment, his hand moving across the paper almost of its own accord.

'Her name is Rachis—like a stem that holds something delicate and beautiful.
Her dance was a secret language, one I could almost understand but not quite.
When I watched her tonight, I didn’t just see her movements—I saw her heart.
There’s something in her that calls to me, something hidden beneath the surface,
And I find myself wanting to know what that is, even if it’s just a glimpse.'' I saw sadness in her eyes, and I wanted to take it away,
To show her that she’s more than a competition,
More than a title or a trophy.
She’s something more, something bright and vivid,
Like the red flowers that lined the path this morning,
Bold and soft all at once.'' I’ve never felt this way before. It’s strange,
This pull toward someone I barely know.
But it feels real, and it’s growing,
Like a vine that winds its way around your thoughts,
Until it’s the only thing you can see.'' Rachis… the lily I wish to have in my vase.
She’s become a part of my world,
And I don’t know what to do about it yet,
But I know I don’t want it to end here.'----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ivor paused, staring at the words he’d written. His heart was still racing, but now it felt lighter, as if he’d captured some of his emotions on the page. The storm outside raged on, but inside, Ivor felt a strange calmness settle over him. He didn’t know where these feelings would lead him, but for the first time in a long time, he felt like he was on the verge of something new—something important.
He closed the notebook and set it aside, the weight of the day finally catching up to him. As he drifted off to sleep, the last thought on his mind was Rachis—her name, her smile, and the way she had unknowingly become a part of him.
