The shadows dance within my mind, a twisted, shifting play,
Where fractured selves collide and fray, in a relentless, silent fray.
They linger, whispered voices rise, a chorus of despair,
Each claiming ownership of my eyes, a burden I can barely bear.
One moment, I am calm and still, a shadow in the sun,
The next, a tempest takes its fill, a battle lost and yet begun.
They whisper secrets, fears, and pain, a symphony of dread,
Their personalities, a raging rain, a storm within my head.
A fractured mirror shows my face, a mosaic of despair,
Each piece a fragment, out of place, a longing to be whole, to share.
They tell me who I ought to be, each with a different creed,
A fractured soul eternally, a broken, shattered seed.
The world perceives a disarray, a madness in my stride,
They see the chaos, hear the fray, and whisper, 'He's not right.'
Their eyes, a judgment swift and cold, their words an icy sting,
They see the cracks, the story told, but never hear the echoes sing.
I wear a mask of normalcy, a charade for their eyes,
Conjuring a false reality, a façade, a lie to disguise.
This inner turmoil, the constant war, a secret I must keep,
A fragile peace, I can't ignore, a constant struggle, deep.
The voices rise, a deafening roar, a chorus of despair,
They pull me down, I can't take more, a burden I can barely bear.
I long for silence, for a peace, a moment to escape,
To find solace, to find release, to break out of this hateful shape.
But they are tethered, intertwined, a part of who I am,
Their presence haunts me, I can't unwind, this twisted, tragic plan.
I yearn for unity, for light, to find a path, a way,
To bring the darkness into sight, to make the shadows stay.
One day, I hope, the voices will cease, their whispers fade away,
And I can finally find release, and step into the light of day.
But until then, I must endure, the constant, silent war,
A fractured being, forever insecure, a soul forever scarred.
