She's an actor, but not by choice
A role forced upon her, without a voice
A mask she wears, always employed
Hiding behind it, so nobody destroys
A tragic story, of a fragile soul
Once so bright, now lost in the role
She once dreamed of stardom, of fame
But all she knows now, is how to tame
Her emotions, her thoughts, her fears
All locked away, shedding no tears
For she can't afford to show weakness
In a world where she's constantly defenseless
The stage is her home, her sanctuary
Where she's someone else, not just ordinary
Her performance, a work of perfection
A temporary escape, from her own reflection
She's the master of deception, this tragic muse
Hiding her pain, with every line she'll use
Her audience applauds, but do they truly see
The pain behind her smile, the agony she flees?
Another role, another facade
She's an expert at playing God
But deep inside, her heart is breaking
With every role, her soul is aching
She yearns for freedom, from this endless play
But she can't just walk away
For her life is intertwined with the stage
And she's afraid, of what's on the next page
So she continues her act, with grace and poise
A puppet on strings, lost in the noise
She's an actor, but not by choice
Sadly, she wears her mask, to silence the voice
The voice of those who hurt her in the past
Who shattered her dreams, and left her aghast
But she won't let them win, she won't give in
For she's a fighter, determined to win
One day, she'll find the strength to break free
From this endless cycle, of pretending to be
Someone she's not, someone she never chose
But until then, she'll hide behind her mask, and strike a pose.
