Sakura made her way to the office of the Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, to report the disease that had infected so many shinobi. When she arrived at the door, she knocked firmly.
"Come in," Naruto called from inside.
"Naruto, this is urgent..." Sakura began, but her words trailed off when she saw a man in a black cloak. His dark hair covered his left eye, giving him an air of mystery, though his handsomeness was undeniable.
"Sasuke-kun..." Sakura stammered.
"Sakura?" the man named Sasuke replied, meeting her gaze.
"Ahem... Sakura-chan, what brings you here?" Naruto asked awkwardly, trying to break the tension between the husband and wife.
"Oh, yes... Naruto, I came to report that many shinobi are suffering from symptoms caused by blocked chakra flow. If this continues, they could all die..."
"What's causing it?" Naruto asked, his expression filled with concern.
Naruto's face was serious as he waited for Sakura's answer. Meanwhile, Sasuke silently observed the conversation, his expression calm but focused.
Sakura took a deep breath. "Naruto, this isn't a normal illness. The symptoms—coughing blood, high fever, and blocked chakra—match a disease I read about when I was still a genin under Tsunade-sama's training. I remember it clearly because of how mysterious and dangerous it was. The disease once ravaged a small, remote village far from Konoha."
Naruto's eyes widened slightly. "You mean this happened before? How did they stop it back then?"
"That's the problem." Sakura's brow furrowed in frustration. "The report never mentioned how the outbreak ended or even where exactly the village was located. But there was one clue... a plant. The Black Sakura."
"Black Sakura?" Naruto echoed, confused. "I've never heard of it."
"It's said to be a rare flower with incredible medicinal properties, capable of curing this disease. However, it's believed to be extinct now. No one has seen it for years."
Naruto's face hardened with determination. "If that flower can save our people, we have to find it. Extinct or not, we can't give up."
Sasuke, who had been quietly listening, finally spoke. "If the flower existed in the past, there might still be a way to find it."
Both Naruto and Sakura turned to look at him. Sakura's heart skipped a beat, sensing that Sasuke had an idea.
"Are you suggesting what I think you are, Sasuke-kun?" Sakura asked, her voice a mix of hope and uncertainty.
Sasuke nodded. "There are ways to access the past. I've encountered ancient techniques and scrolls during my travels. If we can locate the right information, it might be possible to return to the time when the Black Sakura still existed."
Naruto's eyes lit up with excitement. "Are you saying we could actually go back in time? That's awesome, Sasuke! But... how dangerous would it be?"
"It's not without risk," Sasuke admitted. "Time travel is complex. One wrong move, and we could change the course of history. But if we're careful, it might be our only chance to save everyone."
Sakura's mind was racing. Could they really do this? Could they find the Black Sakura and stop this disease before it claimed more lives? She trusted Sasuke's judgment, but the thought of time travel filled her with a mix of excitement and fear.
"I'll help with the research," Sakura said resolutely. "If there's a way to save Konoha, I'm willing to do whatever it takes."
Naruto grinned, his confidence returning. "Then it's settled. We'll do whatever it takes to find that flower. I'll start gathering any information we have in the village archives about ancient techniques."
Sasuke nodded in agreement. "I'll look through my scrolls as well. If there's any clue about how to access the past, we'll find it."
Sakura couldn't help but feel a sense of hope growing within her. For the first time since the outbreak began, she saw a path forward. Together, with Naruto and Sasuke by her side, they would do whatever it took to protect Konoha.
