Jiara- life after finding el dorado

The plane home

All of the pogues were on there way back from south America having just found el dorado. They have just been through one of the worst and best days of their lives. On one hand, they have found the gold and are now rich. On the other, Sarah's father ward sacrificed himself to save her and they lost big John not long after.

There was so many emotions flying around this plane: terror, excitement, mourning, happiness, grief, sadness, love. Although they had all witnessed most of the same things, they all felt a different sum of these emotions.

The plane ride had been silent for the past 20 minutes of them being on the plane. Sarah and John B were sat next to each other on the second row back of the plane trying to help each other grieve the losses of their fathers for the second time, and although they weren't saying anything the fact that their hands were tangled together showed that they were there for the other. Pope and Cleo were next to them Pope near the window and Cleo had her legs draped over popes while she softly snored. Pope sat there just admiring her; happy that someone finally loved him how he loved them. As for Jj and Kie, they were sat behind John B and Sarah. Kie was staring into space overthinking everything that had happened the last couple of days and Jj next to her trying to figure out how to pull her out of her thoughts, help her, and hopefully make her smile. God did he live for that smile.

Kiara was sat thinking about what was going to happen to her when they got back to the OBX. Were her parents going to send her away again? Were they going to lock her in the house? She just didn't know what to expect all she knew was that she couldn't go back to kitty hawk.

After watching her think for a good 5 minutes Jj finally decided to try and pull her out of her thoughts. ' Hey Kie you doing alright what you thinking?' he asked very gently, trying not to scare her as he pulled her from her world of thoughts. 'Kie' he repeated, as she seemed not to hear what he said the first time. 'Huh what?' Can answered or receive very dazed by the questions he was asking as she was still sort of in her head. ' I said are you alright and what are you thinking?' Jj said again in a sweet tone to show her that he cared. ' oh yeah I'm fine, not thinking about anything important' Kie answer, trying to brush off his question. ' I know you're lying you're obviously thinking of something you have been deep in thought for the past 20 minutes ever since we got on this plane just tell me what's going on.'Jj fired back as he needed to know what was going on with her so he could find out how to help.

Kiara realised that she should just tell the truth as Jj could always tell when she was lying and he wasn't going to give up until he got to the bottom of the battle going on in her mind. 'It's just... I'm terrified of what's going to happen when we get back to the OBX, I have no idea how my parents are going to react to me being back home and I really don't wanna go back to kitty hawk it was awful there.' Jj listened supportively as she explained her fears. 'Hey listen to me I won't let them take you again okay I promise just stick by me and you'll be fine.' Jj answered trying to calm her down as it killed him to see her so scared. 'Okay thanks Jay.' Kie said feeling a lot better just knowing that Jj was going to be by her side.

They sat in silence for a few seconds before Jj decided that the best way she was going to feel better was to get a good sleep as he knows that she is shattered from the day they just had. 'Try and go to sleep Kie, I'm right here and not going anywhere I promise you.' Kiara simply mumbled back in acknowledgement. She soon fell into a deep sleep recovering from all the trauma she had just indulged. Jj sat and admired her happy to know that they loved each other and could get through anything together.
