I'm sorry, it's really short

Location: Tim’s Apartment, Early Morning

The sun was just beginning to rise over the Los Angeles skyline as Lucy Chen carefully buttoned her LAPD uniform. She paused for a moment, her hand resting on her slightly protruding belly. Five months along, the triplets were already a constant presence, a reminder of the life growing inside her. She smiled, feeling a flutter of movement.

Tim Bradford, her boyfriend, and the father of their soon-to-be-born triplets, walked into the room, freshly showered and still toweling off his hair. He glanced at her with a mix of admiration and concern. "You sure you're okay to be out on patrol today? You know you could take a desk job if you wanted."

Lucy rolled her eyes, though her expression softened at his concern. "I'm pregnant, not helpless, Tim. Besides, I need to be out there. It's where I belong, and I’m not going to let pregnancy stop me from doing my job."

Tim sighed, knowing better than to argue. "Alright, but if you feel even the slightest bit off, promise me you'll say something."

"I promise," Lucy replied, standing on her toes to give him a quick kiss. "Now let's go, Sergeant. We’ve got a city to protect."

Tim smirked, placing his hand on her belly briefly. "You, me, and our little squad."

They both shared a small laugh as they gathered their gear and headed out the door, the familiar rhythm of their morning routine bringing a sense of normalcy to the day.

The morning had been relatively quiet, a few routine calls, but nothing out of the ordinary. Lucy drove, with Tim riding shotgun, keeping a watchful eye on her as she maneuvered through the streets of Los Angeles.

"So, have you thought any more about names?" Tim asked, breaking the comfortable silence.

Lucy glanced over at him, a smile tugging at her lips. "We still have time, you know. But, yes, I've been thinking. What about Gabriel, for one of the boy?"

"Gabriel Bradford… I like it. Strong name," Tim mused. "And for the girl?"

"Maybe… Grace?"

"Grace is perfect," Tim agreed, reaching over to squeeze her hand.

Their conversation was interrupted by the crackle of the radio. "All units, we have a 211 in progress at a convenience store on 5th and Main. Suspects are armed. Proceed with caution."

Tim immediately switched gears, his demeanor turning serious. "That's us. Let’s go."

Lucy nodded, flipping on the siren and lights as she made a sharp turn towards the location. The adrenaline kicked in, sharpening her focus as they sped through the streets.

Location: Convenience Store, 5th and Main

The store was a small, rundown building with a flickering neon sign above the door. As they pulled up, they could see the suspect inside, waving a gun at the terrified cashier. Tim and Lucy quickly exited the vehicle, weapons drawn, moving in sync as they approached the entrance.

Tim signaled for Lucy to take the left side while he took the right. They moved silently, communicating with hand signals. Lucy’s heart was pounding, not just from the danger of the situation, but from the added responsibility of protecting her unborn children.

Tim motioned for her to stay back as he positioned himself near the door. "LAPD! Drop your weapon!" he shouted, his voice authoritative and steady.

The suspect whirled around, his eyes wild with desperation. For a moment, it seemed like he might comply, but then he raised his gun, aiming it directly at Tim.
