If there was anything good about those cliche manhwa transmigration stories, it was the fact that whoever you transmigrate into will always be rich! No matter if you're a hated villainess or some kind of background NPC, you'll always have some sort of money attached to your name.
Unfortunately, before you could thoroughly enjoy this fact, fate just had to slap you in your face and remind you that since you've been transmigrated, the main character's halo was now attached to you. This means you get stuck inside story plots randomly even if you don't want to.
"What do you mean I have to go to school?!" You practically yelled at your supposed father in this life. That's like such a cliche setting! All the drama with the love interests, the original main character, and the new antagonist always starts in school!
You swear once you find out whatever deity did this to you, you're going to burn down all their temples and smear their name so badly people will prefer dog shit in their mouth than having to utter their name.
"You heard me. Your mandatory seclusion has officially ended which means you are required to attend school once more." Your father explained, his expression perfectly devoid of any emotions much like most scum fathers. Unfortunately, rather than the hot DILF you expected him to be, ended up being some old man causing you to wilt internally in disappointment.
A small sigh escaped your lips as you waved off the information and headed back to your room with a crease forever staining your brow. Most servants and maids tended to avoid your presence since apparently, you were always cruel and mean to them.
But as per usual, with all the sad villain backstory juju, the original ended up like this because the people around them were mean first. The only good thing that came from the amount of cliches in this story (other than the money of course) was the fact that you had a loyal maid by your side.
"Your Highness, I brought afternoon snacks," Hiori called from the door, his trademark cyan hair shining so brightly it hurt your eyes. As much as you loved the young man, what the genuine fuck was the author thinking giving him a highlighter for a hair color.
"Thank you," You hummed as calmly as you could, trying to will all the annoyance of how fucked up your situation was away.
Hiori gave a diligent nod as he set down the tray of tea and snacks on the table set inside the luxurious room you were in. Silence permeated the room as you took to staring out the window while humming lightly.
Hiori couldn't help but take notice of the unconscious display you put on, his eyes straying over to your leisure form as he slowed down slightly to try and bide his time to admire how you were looking at the moment. The [Name] he knew was always aloof and up-front, always guarded and never letting up for a moment inside the house where he deemed everyone a threat.
That's why it was such a rare, never-thought-of-sight to see you look so mellowed out as you are right now. He continued to stare until he lowered back his gaze to the table he was setting up, unable to be any more greedy than he already was for gazing at you for so long.
Contrary to the graceful sight you were displaying, a loud screech filled your thoughts as you remained as still as possible. You weren't dumb, you could see the way he took a whole 15-second pause just staring at you.
