It's been over a month since Y/N started working at the cafe after Suga insulted her. Things are going well-she likes her job, everyone there, including the owner, is nice, just as Miyuki had said. She hasn't told anyone where she works yet, not even Suga Leo still hasn't shown up, and when she asks others about him, they don't know either. When she tries to ask Suga, he ignores her and leaves whenever she's around, without glancing at her.
She's working hard to earn his trust, but he remains guarded. He acts stubborn, holding onto his dislike for her despite her efforts. She's starting to lose hope, but she remembers the words Myeon and Mi-hi told her a few days ago.
"You were the reason they changed, and we're confident you'll be the reason for their new change too. Don't lose hope."
She wonders how she can change them and if they'll ever change at all. These questions keep swirling in her head.
She's becoming close with her friends, especially Eun. He's always the gentleman with her-protective, soft, and caring, which makes her feel safe and cherished. He gives her the love and care she's always craved from her family, but now it's coming from someone unexpected. Despite trying not to think about him or create distance, she finds herself failing and seeking solace in his warm embrace. Sometimes, all she wants is to hide herself there, ignoring others and their opinions.
On the other hand, unknowingly, she's causing Eun to fall for her. Just by smiling, laughing, talking, caring, and cracking silly jokes, she's captured his heart. Her smile means the world to him, and no matter how hard he tries, he always finds himself drawn to her. He loves the feeling of wrapping his arms around her and senses that she feels safe and trusts him. He feels proud yet understands she sees him only as a friend. He wants to confess his feelings but fears she doesn't feel the same. He wants her to know how he feels but knows it's not the right time yet. He's willing to wait as long as it takes for her to be ready.
Right now, they're all on the university campus. They're sitting in a circle: Jeong beside Miyuki, holding her hand; Ye-jun in front of them. Y/N is sitting between them, with Eun's head resting on her lap. She's gently caressing his hair with one hand while her other hand is on his chest, where he holds her hand close to him in sleeps. They're talking softly, with Y/N guiding the conversation in a low voice to avoid waking Eun.
