Under Attack

Run away

We were running for miles. His fingernails dug into my hand. I didn't know where or why we were running but we just were. Further and further up the hills and across the fields.

"Do you even know where we're going," I yell. I could barely catch my breath let alone speak.

"It's very close I promise." He said. After a couple of strides he pulled me next to him. "This is it."
We stood watching a castle.

"Why is there a castle here?"

"This is the queens castle."

"OUR QUEEN?" I exclaim. How the hell out of every place in this country is the queen here?

"She secretly comes here when she goes on 'holiday' we all agreed to keep our mouths shut as long as she shows up to a festival or something."

"So the whole time we've been running you didn't think to tell me?"

"I'd thought I'd surprise you."

"Right why are we here again?"
He points to a car. I wasn't sure what make because I've never been a fan of cars. Especially at 14.
"Wait what? What are you implying."

He turns round and looks at me with a devious grin. "We're going to steal it."

"I'm sorry what? Are you fucking crazy?"

"I just might be but that is the only car in the whole of Hivey Lea."

"I saw some on the road when I was walking around."

"Those are out of state people. They only use us to get to the other side."

"So you're telling me the only way we can escape Hivey Lea is steal a car from the queen?"

He nods. "Either that or we run around 50 miles."

"50 miles! Damn" I pause for a moment. "So what's the plan?"

"Ok listen closely and don't miss a detail. First, we're going to enter through that window on the second floor." He points towards a slightly open window. "That room is one of the many dressing rooms. We will dress to fit in with the royals and walk downstairs to the garage. We will make up some fake names and say we are second cousins to their family and get a car to ourselves. Let me do the talking."

"So you're going to be my brother? Aren't we a bit too... different."

"No you are going to be my wife."

"I don't think I look old enough to be married."

"Do you think they care? Anyway then we will drive away and you can be back to your normal life. It's a fool proof plan."

"You know what. I'm in. LETS DO IT."
