Settling In

The following day, a lot had happened since Emma returned home, she spent most of the night catching up with her parents talking until 2:00 a.m., about Henry's shyness, and how Neal controlled abusive behavior towards her. Her parents quickly gave her a new iPhone with a new sim card to prevent Neal from tracking her. There was a crowd of people wanting to see her. She and Henry stayed inside watching Disney movies. Emma agreed to a welcome home ceremony in the town hall with no press to stop the crowds from appearing by their apartment. Mayor Regina welcomed Emma home with her parents on stage at her side. 

"All we want is privacy. Thank you." David walked behind his daughter as the crowd was cheering.

They arrived back at the loft, where Killian was playing with Henry. "Mama."

"Hi, baby boy." She takes her son from Killian. "Thank you for staying here with him. I did not want him to be onstage with me or on camera, you know social media."

"I understand. What about your name before? I mean.."

"When I met his father, I gave him a fake last name. He does not know my real last name."

Killian was impressed. "You did that? Wow!"

"Yes."

"Smart swan." Emma smiles.

"Killy Jolly Woger."

"I promise Henry for a tour of my ship soon once you are settled."

"I have your number."

"Aye, we will text when you are settled in. I am happy to watch this little lad anytime."

"Thank you."

"You are welcome. Bye, love."

"Bye-bye, Killy!" He waved his hand.

"Bye, little pirate!" David gave Killian a look, because he knew Killian was falling in love with his daughter.

"David, he is a good man. He cares for Henry and Emma."

"I do not want her to be hurt again."

"Not with Killian."

"We will make sure of that."

The next morning, Emma woke up in her bedroom, feeling relieved of not hearing any more crowds. She hears her son in the kitchen with Dad talking. She enters the kitchen and sees her Dad and her son talking while eating pancakes. "Hi, Dad."

"Hi, sweetheart." She hugged her Dad.

"Mama, pancakes!"

"Hi, Henry. I see there are pancakes for breakfast." She hugged her son and kissed him on the head. "Where is Mom?"

"She is in town shopping and spreading the news that she is a grandmother."

"Everyone is going to know that I am home."

"Mama new home."

"Yes, sweetie." She hugged her son. "We are in our new home."

"There have been gifts being delivered for you and Henry most of the morning." David faced his daughter knowing she was feeling overwhelmed.

He held her hand. "You have been missing for years. Everyone is happy you are back."

"I know. It just took me so long to come back."

"You are home. I made scrambled eggs just the way you like them."

"Thank you, Dad. I will have that with pancakes." He makes his daughter her plate.

"For dinner, can we go to Granny's?"

"Yes."

"What is Gwanny's?"
