Pov...

After dinner, Jin and Jhope decided to give Jungkook a quick tour of the house. They walked him through the various rooms, pointing out who stayed where and sharing small anecdotes about the family. As they reached the guest room, Jhope smiled warmly.

“This will be your room for the night, Jungkook,” Jhope said, pushing open the door to reveal a cozy, well-furnished space. “I hope you’ll be comfortable here.”

Jin nodded in agreement, his usual reserved demeanor softening. “If you need anything, don’t hesitate to call us. Good night, Jungkook.”

“Good night,” Jungkook replied, smiling as they both left the room.

Once alone, Jungkook walked over to the large window, pulling back the curtains to look outside. The rain was still coming down hard, the sound of it hitting the glass a steady, rhythmic noise that filled the room. Jungkook sighed deeply, feeling a mix of exhaustion and unease. The events of the night had been overwhelming, and he was still trying to process everything.

He decided to get some rest, hoping sleep would clear his mind. He slipped under the covers and closed his eyes, but sleep was elusive. The sound of the thunderstorm outside grew louder, the occasional flash of lightning illuminating the room for a brief moment.

Suddenly, a loud clap of thunder shook the house, and Jungkook’s eyes shot open. His heart raced, and he instinctively curled up under the blanket, trying to block out the sound. Jungkook had always been terrified of thunderstorms; the loud noise and sudden flashes of light made him feel vulnerable and scared.

Another crash of thunder reverberated through the room, and Jungkook couldn’t suppress a small gasp of fear. He squeezed his eyes shut, but the storm seemed to get louder and closer. He could feel his anxiety rising, and his breath quickened as he tried to calm himself down.

But the storm wasn’t letting up, and neither was his fear. Jungkook’s mind raced, desperately seeking comfort. He knew he couldn’t stay in the room alone. Without thinking much, he found himself getting out of bed, his feet moving almost on their own as he quietly left the guest room and headed down the hall. There was only one place he felt he could go.

He hesitated for a moment outside Taehyung’s door, his hand hovering over the handle. The logical part of his mind told him this was a bad idea, that Taehyung was already annoyed with him, and barging into his room in the middle of the night wouldn’t help things. But the thunder roared again, and Jungkook’s fear overpowered his hesitation.

He slowly turned the handle and slipped into the room, closing the door quietly behind him. The room was dark, except for the dim light of the storm outside. Taehyung was in bed, his back turned to the door, seemingly fast asleep.

Jungkook took a deep breath, trying to steady his nerves. He knew this was risky, but he couldn’t stay alone. He crept over to the bed and carefully slipped under the covers, moving closer to Taehyung. He gently wrapped his arms around Taehyung’s waist, seeking the comfort and safety he so desperately needed.

The warmth of Taehyung’s body and the steady rhythm of his breathing helped calm Jungkook’s racing heart. For a moment, the storm outside didn’t seem so terrifying. Jungkook snuggled closer, resting his head against Taehyung’s back, hoping the older man wouldn’t wake up and push him away.

As the thunder crashed again, Jungkook clung a little tighter, finding solace in Taehyung’s presence despite the fear gnawing at him.

Taehyung stirred as he felt the bed shift and a pair of arms wrap around his waist. His eyes snapped open, his first instinct to shove the intruder away, but then he recognized the familiar scent and the way the person’s body clung to him. It was Jungkook.
