Pov...

As the first rays of morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, Jungkook's eyes fluttered open. The room was bathed in a soft, golden light, and for a moment, he forgot where he was. But then, as he turned his head, his gaze landed on Taehyung, who was still asleep beside him, his face peaceful and calm in slumber.

Jungkook’s heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight. He couldn’t believe it—Taehyung had actually given him a chance. The memory of their conversation last night flashed through his mind, and he couldn’t help but smile softly. This was real. Taehyung had agreed to be his boyfriend, and despite everything, despite the harsh words and the tension between them, they had crossed a threshold.

Careful not to wake him, Jungkook leaned in closer, his heart swelling with affection. He pressed a gentle, feather-light peck on Taehyung's lips, his own heart fluttering at the contact. It was a brief, almost tentative kiss, but it held a promise—a promise of more to come, of a future he was determined to fight for.

Pulling back, Jungkook watched Taehyung for a moment longer, taking in the way his chest rose and fell with each breath. He felt a strange mix of emotions—happiness, excitement, and a hint of nervousness. But most of all, he felt determined. He was going to make this work. He was going to prove to Taehyung that he was serious, that this was real.

With one last glance at Taehyung, Jungkook quietly slipped out of bed. He moved with the grace of someone who had done this before, careful not to make any noise. As he reached the door, he looked back at Taehyung one more time, a soft smile playing on his lips.

Then, with a deep breath, he left the room, making his way towards the guest room. The events of the night before still lingered in his mind, but he knew he needed some time to gather his thoughts, to prepare himself for whatever was to come. This was just the beginning, and Jungkook was ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead.

Jungkook took his time getting ready, trying to shake off the remnants of last night’s emotions. After splashing some cold water on his face and changing into fresh clothes, he made his way downstairs. The mansion was quiet, save for the distant clinking of dishes and the soft murmur of voices coming from the dining area.

As he reached the bottom of the staircase, Jungkook saw Jin and Namjoon, who were Taehyung and J-Hope's parents, along with J-Hope, sitting at the dining table. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, a stark contrast to the tension he had felt the night before. Jin noticed him first, a welcoming smile spreading across his face as he waved Jungkook over.

“Good morning, Jungkook,” Jin greeted him cheerfully. “I hope you slept well.”

Jungkook returned the smile, feeling a bit more at ease. “Good morning. Yes, I did, thank you.”

J-Hope, who was sitting beside Jin, grinned widely and motioned for Jungkook to join them. “Come on, sit with us! We were just about to start breakfast.”

Jungkook nodded and walked over to the table, but before he could sit down, Namjoon, who had been sipping his coffee, looked up and met Jungkook’s eyes. There was a moment of quiet between them—Jungkook realized this was the first time he was meeting Taehyung’s father properly. Namjoon’s gaze was sharp, but not unkind. It was more curious, perhaps even a little cautious.

“Good morning, Mr. Kim,” Jungkook said politely, bowing slightly in respect.

Namjoon set his cup down and gave Jungkook a small, thoughtful smile. “Good morning, Jungkook. Please, call me uncle. No need for formalities.”

Jungkook felt a bit of the nervousness that had been creeping up on him melt away at Namjoon’s words. He could see where Taehyung got his quiet strength from—Namjoon had an aura of calm authority about him, but it was softened by the warmth in his voice.
