At the EchoPlex Arena, Los Angeles
The atmosphere at the Echoplex Arena in L.A. was highly energetic and vibrant; thousands of fans gathered, and their anticipation was noticeable. Bella's arrival had transformed the venue into a whirlwind of excitement. Her global tour had captivated audiences worldwide, and Los Angeles was no exception. The crowd's cheers and the rapid flashes of cameras intensified as her van approached the entrance.
Before arriving in Los Angeles, Bella's thoughts drifted to the disastrous show, where her powers had unexpectedly surged during a performance.
Thankfully, no one suspected anything unusual, mistaking it for elaborate visual effects during an interview session with 801 magazine and other reporters.
She felt grateful for having Sienna and James, who understood her abilities since they also shared the same unique powers. Theirs were expertly managed, and hers were on the brink of spiralling out of control. They had saved the show numerous times, intervening just in time to prevent disaster.
As they arrived at the venue, Bella greeted her fans with a polished smile and nod, signing autographs and waving. Her mind wandered back to a childhood memory, an unsettling conversation that had left a lasting impression.
As Bella pondered this, the faint glow on her fingertips began to fade, but her anxiety lingered. "Bella, we're here," Sienna's voice, tinged with concern, broke through her thoughts.
James glanced at her through the rearview mirror. "We're here, Bella. Time to get ready," he said, his voice firm but gentle. Lost in her thoughts, Bella didn't respond immediately.
"Bella, are you with us?" Sienna's concern was clear. Hearing her name being called in the thick of her distracted fog, Bella looked up, dazed and confused, "Sorry, what's up?" Sienna sighed, exchanging a nervous glance with James.
"We need to move, Bella. The crowd's waiting." Bella breathed out, sighed with a smile, and nodded. The crowd's buzz grew deafening. Bella's excitement was tempered by a flicker of anxiety. She opened the van door and was met with the blinding flash of cameras and the electrifying chatter of fans.
"Hi, Bella! Over here!" A few fans shouted as Bella stepped out, her face lighting up with a warm smile. She waved and signed a few autographs, her attention momentarily diverted by the frenzy of activity. A group of young fans holding up posters caught her eye.
Bella took a moment to chat with them, posing for selfies and exchanging a few giggles. She marvelled at how each interaction energized the crowd further, no matter how brief.
Sienna and James kept a protective watch, guiding Bella through the swarming fans.
"Time to head back, Bella," Sienna suggested as Bella finished signing the last autograph.
"We can't be late for the pre-show meeting." Bella reluctantly pulled away from the crowd, her smile dimming slightly as she returned to the van.
She took one last look at the adoring fans before stepping inside, feeling the transition from the electric energy of the crowd to the calmer, more focused atmosphere of the backstage area.
As the van made its way to the back entrance of the arena, Bella prepared herself mentally for the performance ahead, the earlier distraction now replaced by a steely determination.
She recalled her mother and Uncle Ryder discussing her with hushed, serious voices. "Your daughter is getting stronger; her abilities are extraordinary," Ryder had said.
"We could use her for our purposes." Her mother's reply was laden with a warning tone. "I'm sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by our purposes? Her focus is on her training for Avalora, not your twisted ambitions."
