Kneeling beside the trembling child, her voice barely a whisper, she sang a tune that flowed from her lips. Blood stained the ground beneath them, and the child's shallow breaths were shaky, fearful.
"Just stop your crying Have the time of your life"
Her hands hovered over the wound, glowing faintly. It wasn't enough—she could feel it. The injury was too deep, too severe. But she kept singing, her voice faltering, determined to save the child.
"Keep on going with your silly dream"
The child's grip tightened on her arm, eyes wide with fear. "Will it hurt?"
"Always an angel, never a god"
She smiled softly, hugging the child as she hid her own fear. "Not for long."

Her voice cracked, but she didn't stop.
