Rosemary quickly finished her sparrow. It was almost moon-frost now. The only cat awake was Thunder, who had offered to guard the camp. Rosemary was pleased to see that he was growing up. Would the prophecy even be true? Why did Meadow and Feather need to stop Thunder? Thunder was fine!
She was also pleased that new kits would arrive soon. Once Storm became a warrior, she would probably mate with Lion or Thunder. As she padded toward her den, she stopped, a bout of coughing shaking her body. "Are you okay?" Feather asked as her head poked out of the medicine den.
"I'm fine." Rosemary rasped, "I just-" She ended her last sentence with another bout of coughing. Snowflake then padded out of the den, "Rosemary, you have whitecough!" Snowflake meowed, worry in her green eyes. Rosemary sighed, sniffling.
"You should move into the medicine den!" Feather warned, "We have to give you catmint." Rosemary shook her head, "No, no, I told you, I'm-" She was cut off from Snowflake, "Nonsense!" Snowflake hissed, "You will go there now." Rosemary sighed again, and nodded.

Blaze! Blaze, I'm thirsty!
Rosemary woke up coughing. Her fever was getting worse, and catmint was running low. The medicine cats barely had enough catmint for her and Lavender. Lavender was getting even worse than her, sometimes she coughed blood.
"Feather," She rasped, "Could you get me some water?" She ended the sentence with a sniff. Feather nodded and came back to her with a wad of dripping moss. She squeezed the water into Rosemary's dry mouth. Rosemary nodded her thanks and let Feather go back to organizing herbs with her mentor. It was dawn, and the sun was shining.
The fern entrance to the medicine den rustled and Storm padded in, "Are you okay?" Storm asked, worried. Rosemary shrugged, "Storm, Thunder will be your mentor until I get better." She meowed. Storm's eyes lit up, and she nodded before exiting the den. Rosemary coughed, and then smiled, amusement clear in her eyes, she knew Storm would react like that.
