Naina's POV
I was waiting since morning for meeting my childhood friend.
"Ah, she's never on time. Always late, how does she manages her company??"
I was getting bored and started scrolling through my social media feeds on the phone. After sometime a waiter came and asked for my order.
"Ahmm, actually I was waiting for my friend, so, I'll order afterwards."
"No problem mam."He gave a smile and went back to his work. He looked like a nice guy in black pants and white shirt with a nice black bow, looking so cute. I went again scrolling through my social media.
As I was scrolling I suddenly felt warm hands around my neck hugging me. I stood up immediately and turned to look around. There she is, standing behind me with a handbag and in a black jeans with white top having colourful circular design on it. I immediately hugged her as we were meeting after around 1.5-2 years, considering the fact that we both live in the same city and grew up together but her co-operate life and my acting schedule pulled us apart so much that we were not able to take out time for having a coffee together, until today when we decided no matter what will happen we'll meet and have chit-chat together.
"Wooww, Naina you look gorgeous yrr." She started complimenting me which I knew she would coz it's her habit that whenever she does something messy like being late or something else she immediately starts complimenting and flattering the other person.
I hugged Ayesha tightly, feeling a rush of warmth and nostalgia wash over me. We had shared so much growing up, and it felt incredible to have her here after so long.
"Kaisi hai, Ayesha?" I asked, pulling back to get a good look at her. "Bada busy rehne lagi ho, hmm, planned day mein bhi late hogyi, huh."
She laughed, her eyes sparkling with the familiar mischief. "Arey, saara ilzaam humpr hii dalogi ab aap, khud bhi toh shooting mein kitna busy rehti ho, ki meet-up ka plan bhi mujhe khud bnana pda aur phone mein tumhe jo mnane mein tumhare nakhre jhele woh alag aur ab yehaan aake shikaytein suno madam ki."
I chuckled. That was so Ayesha—always finding humor in every situation. We both sat down, and she glanced around the cafe.
"Yeh jagah kitni pyaari hai, Naina.," she said, admiring the quaint decor.
"Haan, I find this place quiet amusing, coz of it's location. Sheher ki bheed bhad se door hai, shaanti milti hai yehaan."
"So, batao," she said, leaning in closer, "Nayi filmon ke baare mein kya chal raha hai? Tumhari Instagram dekh ke toh lagta hai ki tum kitni busy ho. Kabhi yahan shoot, kabhi wahan premiere."
I sighed, feeling a little overwhelmed by the reminder of my chaotic schedule. "Haan yaar, it's been a whirlwind."
