I took a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest as I gazed at her house. The sight of it filled me with a mix of nerves and anticipation. Today, I was finally going to ask for her hand from sir.

I had rehearsed this moment countless times in my mind, imagining every word, every gesture, and every look. I've waited for this day for what feels like a lifetime, holding back my feelings for years, watching her from a distance, loving her silently, and hoping that one day she would be mine.

She was the light in my darkest hours, the reason I smiled when no one was looking. I've watched her grow, seen her in all her shades, in her joy and in her sorrow, and every time, I've fallen more deeply in love with her. She is not just a part of my life; she is the life in me. She is my first thought in the morning, my dream at night, and the dream that never leaves my side.

Today, I will ask for her hand, and in doing so, I will promise sir that I will cherish her, protect her, and love her with everything I have. I will promise to always stand by her side, to hold her when she is weak, to laugh with her in joy, and to support her in all her endeavours.

I will promise him that no one will ever love her more deeply than I do. This is the moment I have been waiting for, the moment that will change everything. Today, I will tell the world that I love her, and I will make her mine, forever.

I pressed the doorbell, feeling my heart pound against my chest, and waited. A moment later, the door opened, revealing Ma'am, her face lighting up with a warm, welcoming smile. She greeted me with grace, and I nodded politely, stepping inside the familiar space.

My steps were slow, each one heavy with the weight of anticipation. I tried to calm my nerves, but my mind kept racing, playing out every possible scenario. How would Sir react to what I was about to say? The thought of it filled me with a mix of excitement and anxiety.

I spotted Sir on the sofa with a newspaper in hand. He looked up, smiled, and said, "Vikrant! Come, have a seat." I walked over, sitting directly in front of him, my heart racing as I prepared for the conversation ahead.

"I'll bring you some water," Ma'am offered, but I quickly replied, "No, thank you, Ma'am. I'm fine."
She smiled and took a seat next to Sir.

"So, Vikrant, is everything alright? You called me this morning and just mentioned you wanted to meet," he asked, keeping the newspaper aside.
