Chapter 1: laura

Scar's pov
I was in the training room doing high knees, sit ups and everything when all of a sudden my phone rang, I stopped mid sit up and hit answer on my watch

"Delgado" I answered knowing it was probably mom or Mischief calling

"Scar we got a problem" the voice said into the phone I stopped yet again mid crutch

"What's up Stiles" I asked him as I got up with my rag and walked over to the bench wiped the sweat off my forehead and drank some water

"Um.... I think you should come and see for yourself" he said to me, I had a weird feeling that I wasn't gonna like what I saw

"Ok give me 20 mins to get dressed" I said as I went to the bathroom in the basement and took a shower and got dressed in a plain black t-shirt with some blue jeans and some tennis shoes , stepping out of the bathroom I went upstairs putting my workout bag in my closet, getting my beacon hills department jacket and running back downstairs,mom was at work she was working the late shift at the hospital probably into early morning which means it's my job to get Scott up and ready for school

I left the house and ran into the woods, I followed the scent of dried blood and I made it to where stiles,Scott,Noah and the rest of the deputy's are

"Ok I'm here what's up" I asked looking between Noah and Stiles ,they both sighed and moved out of the way and what I saw crushed me

"When" I asked my eyes glowing, who ever did this was gonna pay

"We think somewhere between midnight and 4 this morning some joggers found her" Noah replied

"She was supposed to be in New York with Derek,oh god Derek someone has to tell him,Peter and Cora" I said as tears welled up in my eyes

"Scar no one knows where Cora is , Peter's still in the burn unit so I doubt you will be able to go and see him or talk to him and I don't think Derek knows" stiles said I nodded because it was true after the fire six years ago instead of staying here with their uncle, the three remaining hales left town, Derek and Laura fleeing to new York and no one knows where Cora ended up, which left the Delgado pack to protect beacon hills

Besides the hale pack, the Delgado pack was the second strongest pack, we added a protector of the supernatural which is the sheriff himself, a spark which is mischief and a banshee which is Lydia she just doesn't know it yet and my little brother Scott the true alpha ,oh god Scott

"Scott" I called but got no answer

"Scott come on" I called again but same thing

"Scott McCall if you don't come out now I'll tell mom" I called and he instantly came out from behind a tree

"Stiles take him home I'll be there soon" I said he nodded and I took out my cellphone and called Derek

"Hello" he answered I sighed in relief

"Hey Sammy it's me um.... Unfortunately something happened and I wasn't there to prevent it" I said

"What happened scar" he asked I gulped as I felt a hand on my shoulder

"Stop the car I know you're driving and I don't want you to crash" I said in a calming and relaxed tone but freaking out on the inside as Derek did what I told him

"Ok I'm parked what is it sweetheart" Derek called me I smiled as butterflies erupted in my stomach again, no scar not the time

"Um unfortunately other member of the hale family is dead I'm so sorry handsome" I said to him, Laura was one of my best friends and I know what Derek is going through my mom and I nearly lost our whole damn pack down in Mexico and Texas, because when Kate argent left beacon hills after the hale fire she went down to Mexico and Texas and did the same thing

"When" he asked me bringing me back to reality
"sheriff said between midnight and 4 in the morning she was found by some joggers, Derek it's Laura" I said over the phone and as soon as I said her name the line went silent then I could hear Derek growling

"Derek take deep breaths I'll handle the funeral arrangements and get her a nice headstone ok" I told him

"Alright thank you" he said as he hung up

"Now I have to go deal with Scott but take this body down to the supernatural morgue and I'll deal with it tomorrow" I told them Noah nodded as I ran home and climbed up the side of the house to get into Scott's room
