Chapter - 20

Adhyansh and Noor have dinner together. After dinner, Adhyansh goes to the study room to work, while Noor lies down on the bed. But she can't sleep as she's thinking about when Adhyansh kissed her. She feels embarrassed and thinks about how her husband kissed her.

Noor: (to herself) Hehehe... I'm so embarrassed. He kissed me... Oh my god, he kissed me! My husband kissed me!

Just then, the room door opens, and Adhyansh comes in, scrolling through his phone. Noor pretends to sleep, but Adhyansh knows she's awake.

Adhyansh: I know you're not sleeping. Get up quickly!

Noor: (in her mind) I won't get up!

Adhyansh: (in his mind) Fine, don't get up then. See what I do now!

Adhyansh: Oh, mom... (calling out to Noor)

Noor: (quickly getting up) Mimi!

Adhyansh had played a trick on Noor. There was no one else in the room besides them.

Noor looks at Adhyansh with a sideways glance, and he has a devilish smile on his face.

Noor: You lied?

Adhyansh: Yes, I did. But when you can pretend to sleep, why can't I lie?

Noor: Lying is wrong.

Adhyansh: Yes, but if a lie benefits someone, then it's not a lie.

Noor: Who benefited from this lie?

Adhyansh: Me. See, you got up!

Noor: You're so weird.

Adhyansh: I know.

Noor: But why did you wake me up?

Adhyansh: You wanted to learn how to use the phone and laptop, right?

Noor: But I'm sleepy now.

Adhyansh: Oh, it's just 10 pm. Do you want to sleep already?

Noor: Yes, I'm feeling sleepy.

Adhyansh: Don't worry; when I teach you, computer classes, you'll forget about sleep.

Adhyansh then starts teaching Noor about the phone's features and apps, like making calls, sharing locations, using maps, and sending messages. Time passes, and it's midnight. Adhyansh reminds Noor that it's late, and she should sleep.

Noor: Where are you going?

Adhyansh: I left a file in the study room. I'll just get it.

Noor lies down, and Adhyansh comes back to bed. Noor turns to face him.

Noor: Are you asleep?

Adhyansh: No...

Noor: Why did you kiss me?

Adhyansh: (turning to face Noor) Why can't I kiss you? You're my wife.

Noor: Answer my question!

Adhyansh: Because you're my wife.

Noor: What about Kashish?

Adhyansh seems taken aback by the question. He gets up, turns on the lights, and calls someone named Ryan.

Adhyansh: Where are you?

Ryan: I'm in Rajasthan, sir.

Adhyansh: Come back tomorrow morning. I've gotten married, and I don't need Kashish anymore.

Ryan: But, sir...

Adhyansh: Tomorrow morning's flight, come back!

The call ends. Adhyansh turns to Noor.

Adhyansh: You were asking about Kashish? Who is she, and what's my relationship with her?

Noor is shocked and says she doesn't know anyone named Kashish.

Adhyansh: Okay, let's sleep!

Noor: Wait a minute!

Adhyansh: What happened?

Noor: You left for Rajasthan without telling me and spoke rudely to me when you returned.

Adhyansh: Oh, I'm sorry about that.

Noor: First, listen to my whole story...

Adhyansh: Oh, yes, yes, go on!

Noor: So, I'm angry for those two reasons... and you haven't even apologized yet. I won't forgive you until you apologize.
