CHAPTER 6: BE MY GIRLFRIEND?

"I want you to accept HanBin's proposal" Mrs Kim said to Jennie who was ready to leave the house. 

"Mom, please. I can live without a man. I have everything now." 

"It seems you still can't forget about him." Jennie looked at her mother with a deeply sad and hurt. She was  hurt by what had happened to her, to the point where she was afraid to fall in love again. "Remember, I will never accept him to be my son in-law."

"Mom!" Jennie shout but not too loud. Her face was totally hurt by the words.

"I don't care. You must accept Hanbin's proposal no matter what." She just wanted her daughter be happy when there is someone can take care of her.

"Alright. You can accept the proposal" The mom face seem happy upon hearing that. But her expression changed when Jennie said

"You can never see me anymore after that." Jennie left her mom stunned. She never expected her daughter would say that. She never once considered the thought of being separated from her child. 

"Jennie?" Jiyong's voice calling Jennie snapped her out of her reminiscing. He sat on the sofa next to her.

"Are you okay? You look sad." She remained silent and shook her head.

"Jen, look. I'm so sorry about yesterday. I know I shouldn't have.." Jennie cuts him off

"You.. when you're in the mood to be angry, you just take it out on me whenever you feel like it, don't you?" 

"I admit I was wrong. I want to apologize wit you. I hope you can understand how I work. We have been worked together for many years. Please forgive me and let's move on." He said with a hopeful expression, hoping Jennie would forgive him. 

Jennie just listened to him and remained silent. 

"Jen, please. It's a small matter" Jennie look him with disbelief. 

"Small matter? You scolded me in front of everyone as I was your wife"  Jiyong liked hearing the word "wife" come from Jennie's mouth.

"Okay, I admit I was wrong. I promise you, I won't let it be happen again"  He raised his hand as a sign of promise. 

"I don't believe you" He shocked and he thought of an idea, pretended to cry in an attempt to get Jennie to forgive him. He pretended to sob, his shoulders shaking as he tried to evoke sympathy from Jennie.

"Jen, I will be so sad. I won't forgive myself. Even my mom likes you. If you don't forgive me, what's the point of living ." Jennie nearly smiled at Jiyong's actions.

"Promise me you won't scold me again?" 

"I promise you I won't!" He kneeled and raise his both hand. "I swear, never again!"

"You.... you're cute when you are panic" His face brightened after hearing that. He sit beside Jennie.

"I will make it up to you. I will buy you dinner. Deal?"

"Where? Your house again?" He chuckled 

"Urgh, NO! 5 star hotel." Jennie smiled and nodded to him.

"Do you really want to investigate again about Miss Jennie's background?" Jackson asked Lisa as she told him to. 

" Yes Jack. I don't like working with someone I don't know their background. I don't want any problem."
