Matt Rogers and Bucky Barnes have narrowly escaped The Shadow Komitet's stronghold and are now hiding out in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of an Eastern European city. The atmosphere is tense, and Matt's anger is palpable as he watches Bucky prepare to remove the control chip from his throat.

Bucky: (through gritted teeth) "I need to get this thing out... now."

Bucky uses a knife to carefully cut into his neck, struggling to remove the chip. Matt watches with a mix of horror and growing anger.

Matt: (angrily) "What are you doing? Why should I trust you?"

Bucky: (wincing from the pain, trying to explain) "The control chip—it's how they made me follow orders. I need to get rid of it to be free."

As Bucky pulls the chip out and crushes it beneath his boot, Matt's anger intensifies. He takes a step back, his voice trembling with emotion.

Matt: "And this chip... is it what made you kill my mother?"

Bucky: (painfully) "Yes. I was controlled. I didn't have a choice in those moments."

Matt's face twists with anger and betrayal.

Matt: "My mom is dead because of you! And my dad... he's missing. For all I know, they could have done the same to him."

Bucky lowers his head, guilt evident on his face.

Bucky: (sincerely) "I'm deeply sorry, Matt. I wish I could change what happened, but I can't. I'm here to help you, however I can."

Matt: (bitterly) "Help? You think that's enough? How do I know you're not still working for them? For all I know, you're just a pawn in their game."

An uneasy silence fills the warehouse. Matt's distrust is clear, and Bucky understands the gravity of the situation.

Bucky: (earnestly) "I know you don't trust me, and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't. But right now, we need to get out of here. The Shadow Komitet will be looking for us."

Matt: (coldly) "Fine. But you're not off the hook. I'm only sticking with you because I need to stay alive. We'll deal with this later."

Determined to stay one step ahead of their pursuers, they head into a nearby city. After a tense search, they find a contact who provides them with new identities—passports, driver's licenses, and other essential documents. As they prepare to leave, Matt takes a moment to discuss their next steps.

Matt: "We need to go to the United States. There's an organization there I know about—S.H.I.E.L.D. My mom helped build it. If it's still around, they might have answers about my dad and how to deal with The Shadow Komitet."

Bucky: (confused) "S.H.I.E.L.D.? I haven't heard of it."

Matt: (nodding) "It's important. It's our best shot at finding my dad and stopping The Shadow Komitet."

Bucky nods, recognizing the urgency in Matt's voice even if he doesn't fully understand the significance of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Bucky: "Alright, if S.H.I.E.L.D. can help us, then that's where we'll go."

Using their new identities, they board a flight to the United States. The journey is tense, with Matt and Bucky sitting apart—Matt by the window, lost in thought, and Bucky in the aisle seat, contemplating the next steps. As the plane takes off, Matt reflects on his mission, while Bucky silently vows to prove his loyalty and help Matt as best he can.

Matt: (thinking to himself, determined yet conflicted) "I have to find out what happened to my dad and get justice for my mom."

Bucky: (glancing over at Matt, speaking softly) "Matt, I know I'm not who you want me to be right now, but I'm here to help. We'll find S.H.I.E.L.D. and get the answers you need."
