The second update of today, as promised. Everyone please read the note at the end of the chapter as it contains an important decision.
Valentina left the ballroom, leaving a profound silence in her wake. Her unexpected appearance had a significant impact on the atmosphere. Some guests, unaware of previous events, were taken aback by her dramatic entrance, while those familiar with the past were equally stunned.
Before long, the guests moved on and resumed enjoying the party. As the music resumed, laughter and conversation filled the room once more. The clinking of glasses and the sound of feet shuffling on the dance floor created a lively backdrop, masking the earlier tension.
Valentina, now outside, took a deep breath, the cool night air helping to clear her mind. She glanced back at the ballroom, a mixture of relief and regret in her eyes. She had made her presence known, and though it caused a stir, it was necessary.
Inside, the guests remained blissfully unaware of the storm brewing just beyond the glittering facade of the party. Valentina's arrival had only momentarily disrupted their celebrations, and now, they were once again lost in their own world of joy and celebration. Yet, for those who understood the significance of her arrival, the night would be far from ordinary.
This can't be real. I must be dreaming. She can't be here. She wouldn't come back. I made sure I did everything possible to get her out of this house and out of my life. She can't just reappear like this, undoing all my years of hard work and rigorous planning. I won't let her. I've come too far and endured too much. I won't let her take away everything I've fought to achieve. I need to find out why she's returned so suddenly. Why now? But the look in her eyes tells me she's here to stay, and this time, it won't be easy to make her leave.
