Chapter 7: A New Beginning?Chan took Seungmin to one of his safe houses—a luxurious penthouse in the heart of the city. For Seungmin, it was like stepping into a different world, one far removed from the horrors of the past few hours.
Chan showed Seungmin to a guest room, where he could shower and rest. As Seungmin stood under the hot water, trying to wash away the memories of what had happened, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was trading one prison for another.
After getting cleaned up, Seungmin joined Chan in the living room, where a meal was waiting for him. The silence between them was heavy with unspoken questions, but Seungmin was too afraid to ask. Instead, he focused on the food, realizing just how hungry he was.

"I... I didn't have anywhere else to go," Seungmin said quietly. "I was supposed to meet someone... but it didn't go as I expected."
Chan didn't press for details, sensing that Seungmin wasn't ready to talk about it yet. Instead, he simply nodded and changed the subject, talking about mundane things to put Seungmin at ease. But even as they talked, Chan couldn't help but think about how vulnerable Seungmin was—and how easy it would be to take advantage of that vulnerability
