Over the next few days, Seungmin began to settle into a routine at the penthouse. Chan was often busy with work, leaving Seungmin alone to explore the luxurious space. But even in his solitude, Seungmin couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, as if the walls themselves were closing in on him.One night, Chan returned home later than usual, his mood darker than Seungmin had ever seen. He didn't say much as he poured himself a drink and sat down on the couch, his eyes distant and brooding.
Seungmin, sensing something was wrong, approached cautiously. "Are you okay?"
Chan looked up at him, his expression unreadable. For a moment, he said nothing, just stared at Seungmin as if he were seeing him for the first time. Then, without warning, he grabbed Seungmin's wrist and pulled him down onto the couch.
"You don't know what you've gotten yourself into," Chan said, his voice low and dangerous. "I'm not a good person, Seungmin. I'm not someone you should trust."
But even as he said the words, his grip on Seungmin tightened, as if he couldn't bear to let him go. Seungmin's heart raced, but he didn't pull away. Instead, he looked up at Chan with wide, innocent eyes.
"Then why did you help me?" Seungmin asked softly.
Chan didn't have an answer for that. All he knew was that something about Seungmin stirred feelings in him that he thought he had buried long ago—feelings that were both dangerous and irresistible.
