Confession 9 : Lumin Street

Lumin Street.

Going Viral.

Simon Manio Aka Simpleman is one of the most popular YouTube influencers. He focusses on providing information that debunks misconceptions and puzzling rumours. Recently, there was news about individuals going missing on Lumin Street, which was closed due to a massive fire catastrophe. Because it had been closed for about three years, people began conjuring up stories about unusual aliens and UFO sightings. There were rumours that spirits haunted the Lakeside diner, and there was a lot of buzz and underground competitions to take selfies in front of the famed diner. The location was in the news and on social media because many people had gone missing, and an inquiry was underway into underground tournaments and live streaming websites that hosted films about Lumin Street.

Simpleman and his crew decided to take on the task of visiting Lumin Street in order to acquire more followers and attention from the YouTube community. He knew he would gain more value from his adventure into the unknown. He was fully equipped with the latest equipment and a professional team to catch anything and everything that came their way. Simon was well-prepared to uncover the location's mysteries.

The Viewers were ecstatic, but police officers cautioned them of the dangers. The crew was required to sign a statement with the police stating that they had made this decision of their own volition and that no one had forced them to do so, and that no one was responsible for whatever happened to them. The cops were continuing conducting surveillance in the Lumin Street neighbourhood. The live stream was already receiving a lot of attention, and the trick of unveiling the riddle was becoming global, spreading from news coverage to social media. Simpleman and his staff were all excited about their new adventure. They sang and we were happy as they entered the area. The place gradually became gloomy and nasty, but the squad remained calm because they had nothing to fear.

Into the unknown.

About Lumin Street, the neighbourhood was lush and bustling with its busy Lakeview fruit market and the famed lakeside cafe, which was a romantic spot where we saw many couples spending their evenings on the open cafe benches, watching the sunset from the lake. The Victory Bridge was a monument in its own right, giving elegance to Lumin Street. There was a children's park with laughing booming throughout the evening as children enjoyed their time. Lumin Street along Lakeview of Lumin Lake was once a must-see location for anyone who visited Valery town; however, it has now become the most deadly and haunted area.


The team continued roaming along the deserted street when they noticed a quick ball of lights hanging over their heads. The flying light balls confused the live viewers because they were neither too large nor too small, but rather roughly the size of a human. According to rumours, every time someone follow it, they end up lost or in the midst of an empty Lumin Lake. Many people stated that the light balls took many people and none of them returned. Simpleman and his team continued to explore the area and discovered nothing peculiar; however, as they got closer to the Lakeside cafe, they began to feel dizzy, and Simon observed a couple sitting on a bench having an expressive conversation. He kept heading towards them, and his eyes became fuzzy, and they all slid off one by one as if they had been drugged.

Night fell, and they all awoke in a dark, unknown room, panicked and begging for help. However, the door was open, and they stepped out to find themselves across the lake in an abandoned factory. It was weird how they got there, but no one was damaged or injured. They were all terrified and frightened, and all they wanted to do was get out of this terrible situation. They discovered that all of their equipment, including their phones, had gone lost. Simon suggested that his crew remain calm and find a way out.  They were also attempting to send a signal for the rescue squad to find them.

The Lovers.

On June 6th, at around 6 p.m., Danny and Flora were enjoying their evening together at Lakeside Cafe, their daily meeting place. Danny was a writer and freelance journalist, while Flora ran her fruit business on Lumin Street. They fell in love after meeting at the Lakeside Cafe, which is a lover's paradise. It started as a single on two different benches and ended with a couple sharing one.

As they were enjoying their favourite drink, hot creamy caramel coffee, with the gorgeous sunset, they heard a loud blast across the lake from the lead factory. The detonation and its impact caused a shockwave, causing panic and automobiles to collide, one of which collided with the lovers and killed them. The confusion caused a massive explosion that claimed many lives. The lovers' paradise burned like hell, injuring many and forcing many to flee for their lives.
Somehow Danny awoke suddenly at night and walked away into the wilderness, grieving over the tragedy, never to be seen again. The street transformed him from a lover to a loner, leaving behind his love with a head full of horror and despair. Many who visited Lakeside Cafe after the tragedy claim to have seen the Lovers sitting on the bench, which is why they refer to Lakeside Cafe as a haunted spot. People also report that they could hear the Lovers' discussion, which is as vivid as if they were still alive and present.

Nothing Left.

On the same day, June 6th, the chief engineer of Valery lead factory became ill as a result of the previous night's terrible meals. It was a critical day, and they had to shut down the factory for maintenance. The engineer was able to send orders to slow down chamber 2, which was experiencing some issues and was the reason for the shutdown and maintenance. The procedure began, but the Associate engineer arrived late to calibrate the readings; however, the assistants completed the task, but the Associate engineer wanted to double-check before shutting it down.

The power chamber 2 experienced a grid failure, and the shutdown was completed too quickly, causing instability and cracking open the isolation tunnel. While everything was finished and most of them were leaving the factory, an explosion occurred from the isolation tunnel, resulting in a massive calamity. The massive explosion produced a shock wave through Lumin Street, causing chaos. It affected the street badly because it was in close proximity to the factory. The pollutants from the facility were causing individuals to have hallucinations of odd lights and entities gradually occupying the area. It's terrible that nothing remains of the factory or the beautiful Lumin Street following the disaster.

Nobody was to blame; it was the result of a chain reaction of events that culminated in a calamity. There are random happenings, yet everything has an ignition point that leads to a chain of events. One of the team members who had investigated the events explained it to everyone. He also mentioned about Danny's mysteriously going missing and no one knows his whereabouts.

They called for rescue team to help them way out and still were searching for their equipment. Meanwhile, Simon was looking around, feeling the destruction, and imagining the happenings; in a flash, he could see the beautiful place and then disappear. It had a profound impact on Simon and his perspective on life; he wondered what value fame and glory could provide when they could be taken away in an instant. After a while, the rescue crew discovered them, explained the sitings, and asked them to breathe carefully as they proceeded away from the area.

Love will set you free.

As they were about to leave, Simon fell to his knees and shouted Flora, Danny's lover's name. The rescue crew and Simpleman's squad are astounded to observe Simon acting strangely. Simon then said Flora was waiting for him and ran back to Lumin Street. The others believed he was possessed by Danny's spirit. They started the live video and followed Simon, who continued to run, believing that Lumin Street had returned to its former splendour. His eyes were filled with tears, and he was overjoyed to see Lumin Street in all of its splendour. As he approached, he noticed Flora waiting for him on the bench.

He checked his watch and it was 5 minutes to 6 p.m., so he hurried and dropped to his knees in front of Flora, who smiled and said, "I knew you'd come back for me," to which he replied, "Only for you." He proposed his life to her, and she smiled with joy and love in her eyes. She remarked "Waited, but no longer, I am here and yours" Flora vanished in fulfillment around 6 p.m., Love giving her freedom. Simon regained consciousness and discovered inner serenity and accomplishment.

Finally, everyone watched a wild outpouring of love recorded in its unique shape and elegance. Simon looked at the footage and couldn't believe it. He felt relieved to have come out of the darkness and into the light. Lumin Street was once a street of lights and beautiful sunsets; it may have been devastated for the time being, but this event has given it new life. It gave hope because of the love that is still present. Only Love has set everyone's mind free of negativity.


Few criticised Simon back home for endangering people's lives for fame, but many praised him for his valour. He achieved recognition as he imagined, but the feeling of redemption was more important than anything else. His crew was conducting extensive investigation on the events in order to prepare a documentary using the material they rescued. In one video, they discovered parallels between Simon and Danny. One of them said Simon is Danny, living his life as alterego Simpleman. Simon looks in the mirror at home and smiles to himself, as if he has completed his purpose.
