Debuted in October 2009, work the hit song Bad Girl. BEAST which represents the sheer potential to be exceptional. Known for their string of hits such as Shock, Breath, Beautiful Night, Good Luck and arguably their most iconic classic Fiction. Initially called "recycled group" by critics, BEAST showed they more than capable of holding their own to becoming the most popular boy group in the second generation.

Paired constantly with their sister group 4minute, the two groups would often do collaboration projects together. Doojoon being the eldest is the group's defacto leader and Harry is the group's sole rapper. He tends to write a majority of the group's music. Originally a six membered group, Hyunseung left in mid 2016 and stayed with Cube as a solo artist.
In 2016 due to contract renewals conflicts, they changed their name to Highlight in response to Cube retaining the trademark of their original name and has been operating independently ever since. They are managed by Around Us Entertainment which also manages The Wind, a 5th Gen boy group.
