THE TWO DID NOT consummate on their wedding night. in fact, sukuna had stayed in his office tent for their wedding after the ceremony and joyful celebration.

word traveled fast. and without the love and protection of her husband, kanae knew her life in this unfamiliar territory was about to get tough.

though in order to kill her family, she, herself needed to survive first.

but she knows she cannot do this alone. she needed allies, people who won't betray her, that could be relied on.

that type of dedication was difficult to find, even in the zen'in household that she grew up in.

"good morning kanae-sama! my name is ozawa yūko, your personal maid from now on. if you need anything please feel to let me know".

kanae awoke with a slight headache, for she was certainly not used to the harsh bedding and rough blanket. however, she doubted ozawa would be able to do anything about it.

usually the woman woke up early, for the zen'in household didn't allow slackers. though kanae had unfortunately slept in late today due to her tedious journey here.

"morning", kanae mumbled, as she partially hoped that when she awoke, her marriage would be just a silly little nightmare.

"we weren't able to prepare any clothes for you since we weren't sure of your measurements, so apologies for that. however, that is on the list of things to do today once you greet the chief", ozawa informed.

kanae glanced at what her personal maid wore. it was a simple kimono compared to the ones that she had brought. perhaps it'd be more freeing for the zen'in woman, but a part of her didn't wish to strip away from the clothes that she was familiar with.

"let's postpone that for now...I wish to keep my own clothes for a while longer", kanae solemnly said.

ozawa nodded in understanding, pitying the woman for being so far away from home.
