Do I Know You?

[VEE'S POV]

"Dandy." I scoffed as he approached. The flower had half of Gardenview wrapped around his finger- they don't know he's planned on ruining their lives since day 1, of course. My tail lashed.

"Why so angry at me, Vee? You know, you could hardly be angry until-"

"Shut UP about my wish, Dandicus."

"..." He had a look of slight disgust on his face. "Don't call me that, Vee. We're friends here, after all! However, you aren't the one I want to talk to right now." He turned to face Shelly & Sprout.

"They won't wa-"

"Let THEM speak, please! You're reaal annoying sometimes, I gotta say."

Shelly & Sprout just seemed.. Confused. Sprout was fidgeting with his scarf, a blank expression on his face, and Shelly was awkwardly standing there.

"Shelly, Sprout! We've met before, and I know you know we have. Dino dork and baker #1. Why don't we talk a while?"

"What..?"

"Is there anything either of you have ALWAYS wanted to do or have in life? Something you can't have because it's a supernatural ability, or something you've lost in the past."

"I mean, I've always wanted to go back and see the dinosaurs while they were still alive..!" Shelly nervously chuckled.

"Mhm, mhm, and Sprout?"

"I.. really don't know? I mean, I wanna be able to protect everyone I care about, but I think I'm already doing a good enough job."

"And that's fine! What if I told you two you could HAVE those abilities.. At a price, of course, not for free! And no, it's not money.." He paused. "Well, as a messenger of magic- I can make your wishes come true!.. In exchange for becoming a magical girl ( or boy ) and fighting the Twisteds. Super cool, right?"

".. I'm sorry?.." Sprout questioned.

Shelly looked up at me. For guidance, just because, I don't know. I simply shook my head no. I mentally prayed they'd say no to it, or at the VERY least be smart with it.

"Well, are ya making your wishes?" He energetically bounced as he spoke.

".. We'll consider it?" Shelly was just surprised and confused, if anything. I smiled a little. Better than immediately saying yes, I thought.

"Mm. How about you keep following Vee around- She'll keep you safe and show you the ropes."

"HEY. I didn't agree to tha-" I approached him.

"And THEN when she's done complaining, you can come up with a wish and make it and help fight entropy! Fun! Okay?"

"I mean, I guess.."

"Cosmo wanted to-"

"You're following Vee."

"Okay then, jeez.."

"I'll check up on you every day, tell me if you come up with one early~!" He spoke in a singsong voice, before vanishing as quickly as he came.

"Well, okay then, guess you're following me. How.. fun." I said, looking at the two of them again. "Unfortunately, I'm not a guide. But, actions do speak better than words, so I'd assume watching me will help a LITTLE?" They didn't reply. "EH EHM. Watching me will help a LITTLE??"

"Yeah, yeah, it will." Shelly nervously spoke up.

".. Well, we're already done for today, but." I grabbed both of their shoulders. "Do NOT make a deal with that swine. Whatever you do. No matter how badly you wanna. I mean, you don't NEED either of those things to live, do you."
