Tae drove home with a heart full of excitement, his thoughts entirely consumed by the image of Kook's radiant smile. His mind replayed the scenes from the park, each moment making him smile wider. The way Kook had laughed, the golden light that had bathed him—it all seemed like a dream, too perfect to be real. Tae felt his cheeks heat up at the memory of how Kook’s eyes sparkled when he laughed, his bunny teeth peeking out adorably. He couldn’t stop himself from grinning, and every now and then, he’d catch himself blushing at the thoughts swirling in his mind.

As he pulled into the driveway, he took a deep breath, trying to compose himself, but the excitement was too overwhelming. He practically jumped out of the car and hurried toward the front door, his heart racing with anticipation.

The moment he stepped inside, Mrs. Kim’s voice echoed from the living room. “Tae, is that you?”

“Yeah, Mom! I'm home!” Tae called out, trying to keep his voice steady, but the excitement was unmistakable.

Mrs. Kim and Mr. Kim were both in the living room, relaxing on the couch. The moment they saw Tae's bright, beaming face, they exchanged a puzzled look. Mrs. Kim raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on her lips. “You look like you’ve seen a miracle, Tae. What’s gotten into you?”

Tae couldn’t help but laugh, his cheeks flushing as he walked over to them. “Mom, Dad, I have something amazing to tell you!” he exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with joy.

Mr. Kim chuckled, setting down the newspaper he was reading. “Well, don’t keep us in suspense, tae. What’s this amazing news?”

Tae plopped down on the couch across from them, his excitement bubbling over. “Okay, so you know how I decided to take the day off today? I just had this feeling that something special was going to happen… and it did!”

Mrs. Kim leaned forward, her curiosity piqued. “What happened, Tae? You’re practically glowing!”

Tae’s grin widened as he tried to find the right words. “Mom, Dad, remember that day you were telling me about the boy you met at the party? The one with the bunny smile and the sparkling eyes?”

Mrs. Kim’s face lit up with recognition. “Oh, yes! The bunny boy we met at the party. Why do you ask, Tae?”

Tae’s heart was pounding in his chest as he continued. “I think I saw him today… in the park. Mom, he’s… he’s even more beautiful than I imagined. I couldn’t stop looking at him. It felt like… like he was everything you said and more.”

Mr. Kim's eyes widened with excitement, and he leaned forward eagerly. “Tae, are you saying you found the boy from the party? The one we both saw? Oh, this is incredible! I remember thinking he had such a presence. And now you’ve met him too?”

Tae blushed deeply, nodding shyly. “Dad. I can’t explain it, but the moment I saw him, something just clicked. He was there with his friends, laughing and smiling… and I just… I couldn’t take my eyes off him.”

Mr. Kim chuckled, thrilled by his son's excitement. “This is wonderful, Tae! It sounds like fate wanted you two to meet. I can't wait to hear more about this.”

Mrs. Kim’s eyes softened, a warm smile spreading across her face. “Tae, you look so happy. I can see it in your eyes. It’s like you’ve found something—or someone—you’ve been waiting for.”

Tae nodded, his voice a little softer now. “I think I have, Mom. But… what if… what if he already has someone in his life? What if there’s no place for me?”

Mr. Kim reached over, placing a reassuring hand on Tae’s shoulder. “Tae, you’ve just seen him for the first time. Don’t jump to conclusions. If he’s meant to be a part of your life, things will fall into place. Just take it one step at a time.”

Tae sighed, feeling a little more grounded but still full of excitement. “I know, Dad. It’s just… I’ve never felt this way before. It’s like everything in me is telling me that he’s the one… but I don’t even know him yet.”

Mrs. Kim smiled gently, her eyes full of understanding. “Give it time, sweetheart. If it’s meant to be, you’ll find your way to him. For now, just enjoy the feeling. You’ve discovered something beautiful today, and that’s worth cherishing.”

Tae nodded, feeling a wave of warmth and gratitude for his parent's support. He couldn’t wait to see what the future held, but for now, he was content just basking in the joy of the moment. “Thanks, Mom, Dad. I think… I think I’ll just take it slow and see where this feeling takes me.”

Mrs. Kim leaned over and kissed his forehead. “That’s my boy. Now, how about we have dinner? You must be starving after such an eventful day.”

Tae laughed, his heart feeling lighter than ever. “Dinner sounds perfect, Mom. Let’s eat!”

As they moved to the dining table, Tae couldn’t stop smiling. The image of Kook’s smile, the way the sunset had bathed him in golden light, and the feeling of his heart skipping a beat—it was all so vivid, so real. And for the first time in a long while, Tae felt like everything was exactly as it should be.

After a warm and fulfilling dinner, the Kim family exchanged good nights, the warmth of their earlier conversation lingering in the air. Tae, still brimming with excitement, made his way to his room. He quickly changed into his nightwear, his thoughts drifting back to the park.

The moment he plopped onto his bed, a smile spread across his face, unbidden. He stared up at the ceiling, replaying the afternoon's events in his mind, every detail of his bunny boy vivid and clear.

Tae sighed contentedly, his voice a soft whisper in the quiet room. “I can't believe I actually saw him... My bunny boy. He’s even more beautiful than I imagined.”

He rolled onto his side, clutching his pillow closer, his heart fluttering with the memory of Kook’s laugh. “Those eyes... They light up like stars. And that smile... It could melt anyone’s heart. How can someone be so perfect?”

A chuckle escaped him as he remembered Kook’s friends teasing him. “He’s so cute when he pouts... I wish he could’ve stayed longer, so I would have also get the chance just to see that smile a little more.”

Tae’s thoughts began to drift as he let the comforting memory of Kook lull him to sleep. “I have to see him again... Somehow. I just... I need to see him again.”

With that final thought, Tae closed his eyes, the smile still on his lips as he drifted off to sleep, his dreams filled with visions of the boy who had captured his heart in a single afternoon.
