If only,
you didn't let me go.
To cower away from the rules of life.
But I know you let me go
so I could glow like the fire.

The fire that births embers,
the night we crossed.
Pulling me away from the suffers
into into soothing solace of your arms.

If only,
you didn't me go,
realizing more that I wanted to stay.
I know you're cheers
and I know you're disdain.

You're overt glances
To your heart-racing smiles.

If only,
much more was read into my traipsing retreat.
That longing embrace, one that forever lasts.

You loved my unheeded existence
Cherished my diminished soul

Sang my sonnet from your lips
Scribbled my name on your skin

I promised a forever
There won't be one without you.

If only
