                         ZARA'S POV:

I woke up feeling fully relaxed, today I slept a little longer which felt nice and relaxing.

Finally, I got out of bed, straightened up my messy sheets, walked towards my desk where I usually do my work. It's Sunday, my day off so I won't be doing any work, not even studying so I just cleaned the place there and then went downstairs.

Flip flop I mad my lazy moments towards the dining table, I could already smell my favourite brunch being made in the kitchen, Mama won't be missing it as she loves to pamper me when I'm home, other days I usually skip my breakfast not a good habit tho ,the ones reading me shouldn't be doing it.

Well, sitting at my usual place at the dining table , I glanced around looking for Baba, I didn't see him. He was probably relaxing in his room or the garden like he usually does at this time..

Mamma came out of the kitchen having my brunch and served In front of me.
I smiled and blew her a kiss to say thanks. She smiled back at me before going back into the kitchen.

I took my first bite and savoured the tasty flavours. Mmm, I just love it ! While I was eating, She returned with my cup of coffee and her cup of tea. She likes tea better than coffee.

“Today you slept a little too much!” Mamma said tilting her head towards me..

"Yeah, and I feel so rested, I think sometimes I should take extra sleep.”
I replied between bites of my chilli garlic omelette and paratha.

“Yeah,— you should also take some extra leaves from your work, that's also not a bad idea.!!”, she rolled her eyes at me.

“Nope, Mamma, that's a very bad idea!!”
I cracked a loud laugh.

Like the amount of workload I have,
I like to do it on the same day. I don't like to pass my work on the next day because procrastination isn't what I'm up to, it just ruins my work potential..

"Where is Bhai?" I suddenly asked.

"How do you know Ali has come back? You just woke up!" Mom asked, her voice and expressions steady.

Her words made me pause mid-chew.

Did I have to scramble for an excuse now because I couldn't tell her that I had seen him sneaking into the house in the middle of the night? I'm sure she must have thought that he had arrived in the early morning.

"Umm, I just thought he had come back. I heard Baba saying that the work had been wrapped up there!"

Just then, I saw Bhai waltzing out of the kitchen, holding a bowl of noodles in his hand, the fork clattering against the bowl as he made weird noises.

He came and settled next to Mom.
I couldn't comprehend where he had appeared from. I thought he must be in his room, crashed out in his bed, deep in that dead-to-the-world kind of sleep he's always in.

"He has been here with me since the time he arrived," Mom said, looking at Bhai. "Go, Ali, have some sleep. You must be tired."

Tired. Sleep. Just arrived.

I almost choked on my food.
I glared at him, who just slurped his noodles, utterly unfazed, again making that irritating noise.

Someone remind him that he's almost a 28-year-old grown man, for goodness' sake!

“So bhai, how was the drive back home? I hope you didn't speed and race your car."

I tried not to giggle. "I mean, you need — to be careful when driving!"
