It was a hot and muggy day in Karakura Town, the heat was blazing and the the walk to the Kurosaki Clinic was not a short walk at all for Ichigo. He groans as he feels his hair dampen with sweat as he walks home from the store in the summer heat. He should have woken up earlier that day to get some food if he knew it was going to be this hot and humid, plus he never really liked the heat.
'That old fart better be happy I don't want us to fucking starve because I would have left this shit at the store and stayed home to sleep.'
Ichigo sighed and continue his journey to his home. After he defeated Ginjo and was declared an official Substitute Soul Reaper, Ichigo decided to go back home and focus on school and help protect the citizens of Karakura Town from hollows. At first it was hard to keep track of everything since he was a senior in high school and had to get ready for exams and graduation that year, but eventually he managed to keep track of everything and make sure he was ready for anything that got thrown at him.
Now at the age of 19, he decided to wait until he goes to college because he wanted to do more than just go back to school again and get deep into studies and have nothing but overwhelming pressure on him. Not like he never was good with that before, but it wasn't something he saw himself doing for the next four years of his life. So, after he graduated he decided to work for his dad at their family clinic. It wasn't that hard for him since all he really had to do was look over paperwork and help out with patients, which wasn't a hassle for him at all.
If you count being around the goat face for almost 8 hours a day to be annoying and exhausting then yes it was a fucking hassle.
Even so there has been nothing but peace for the past few years, there hasn't been that much activity in the town so it gives Ichigo a break to relax and focus on his self for a while. As a teenager growing up, he was always going to school and doing nothing but schoolwork, hanging out with friends and being to himself. That was until he met Rukia. Speaking of Rukia, the two of them have been talking more since the Ginjo fight ended. Ichigo thinks its the fact that they both thought they were never gonna see each other again. In all honesty Rukia was one of his closest friends, he felt like she was the big sister he never had.
They've been through everything together no matter what. From meeting her and saving his family, to him risking his soul to save her from the Soul Society. Ichigo wonders if they never met what would have become of him. Would the world be done for? Would the Soul Society be crushed and lost? He never knows but he dosen't think too much about it because after everything that should be the last thought on his mind at all.
