Emily checked her watch again, 5:28. How time flies, She thought dryly. She got out of bed but quickly found she didn't have the energy to be awake and flopped back into bed, pulling her duvet up over her head. Her wings felt sore and she had a headache. Bzzzzzt. What was that awful noise? Bzzzzzzzzzzzt. Ughhhh, it was her phone. Annoyed, she got out of bed to check who was calling her. Sera. She mentally prepared herself..."Hi!" She said, super peachy and fake sounding. "Hi, Emily...I," Sera takes a deep breath, "I have to tell you something." "Well what is it?" "...I'm sorry...but you're being fired from the heavenly court." "...oh..." Emily whispered, she didn't know what to say. She hung up the phone and started taking deep, shaky breaths.
